We are seeking a dynamic and experienced communications professional, with deep knowledge of the tier-one, business media landscape in the U.S. as well as a solid grasp of media relations strategies and a passion for bringing technology innovation stories to life.

About the role - you will:

The Staff Program Manager of Corporate Communications will be responsible for leading executive communications projects and programs, demonstrating ability to forge alignment across government relations, investor relations, legal/compliance and marketing functions, developing and executing earned media strategies to build Seagate’s brand visibility and reputation in the United States.

This role involves managing company stakeholders, driving executive communications (including social media strategies), media relations, and collaborating across corporate marketing functions to ensure alignment. *Please submit a cover letter along with resume when applying for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement media relations strategies to enhance and protect the company's public image and brand.
  • Demonstrate established relationships with tech and business media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
  • Oversee the agency in the creation and distribution of brand messaging toolkits, press releases, tailored pitches, media kits, and other communication materials.
  • Support executive spokespersons for the company, handling media inquiries, in-market speakerships, social media platforms and media interviews.
  • Monitor and deliver media coverage and contribute to achieving PR team goal KPIs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
  • Manage crisis communication and develop strategies to mitigate potential negative publicity.
  • Plan and execute media events, press conferences, and other public relations activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and media landscape to identify opportunities for positive coverage.

About you:

  • Experience supporting executive speaking opportunities and press interviews.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing media relations and securing positive media coverage.
  • Technology industry experience and/or expertise.
  • Excellent, high quality written and verbal communication skills on tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with media professionals.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Your experience includes:

  • Crisis communication and corporate communications messaging development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in media relations, corporate communications or public relations.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $109,500 - $159,500. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
 
Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible employees, including, but not limited to, eligibility to participate in discretionary bonus program, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short-and long-term disability, 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, health savings account, dependent care, and healthcare spending accounts. Seagate also offers paid time off, including 12 holidays, flexible time off provided pursuant to Seagate policy, a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave, and 16 weeks of paid parental leave. The benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location.
