DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.

Join the Name List Screening (NLS) team within Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) to build secure, scalable Google Cloud services that support the Bank’s global screening capabilities. As a Java Backend Engineer, you will work with a cross-functional Agile team to modernise critical applications, strengthen monitoring and screening controls, and help protect Deutsche Bank and society from financial crime.

Responsibilities

  • Design, provision, and optimise secure, scalable infrastructure and platform services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and automate deployment, configuration, and operational processes.
  • Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions to automate build, testing, deployment, and release workflows.
  • Manage GCP release governance, IAM, security controls, vulnerability remediation, resilience, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Security, Product, and Platform teams to support migrations, production releases, and incident resolution.
