POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing Manager serves as the primary owner of campaign strategy and execution for our client's non-dues revenue products and acts as a key partner in delivering membership and annual conference marketing initiatives. Working within the strategic framework established by the Head of Marketing, this role independently plans, executes, and optimizes integrated marketing campaigns that drive engagement, participation, and revenue across continuing education, professional development, conferences, publications, and other organizational offerings.

This position balances strong execution with sound judgment and strategic thinking. The Marketing Manager is responsible for translating marketing objectives into high-quality campaigns, recommending audience segmentation and channel strategies, and continuously identifying opportunities to improve campaign performance. Success in this role requires exceptional project management, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. 



COMPANY OVERVIEW:Our client is a non-profit, professional association for Occupational Therapy Practitioners with a mission to advance occupational therapy practice, education, and research. 



Requirements

POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Non-Dues Revenue Campaign Management 

  • Own campaign strategy and execution for continuing education courses, workshops, professional certificates, specialty conferences, publications, and professional development offerings.  
  • Develop integrated campaign plans including audience segmentation, messaging, channel mix, timelines, and success metrics for assigned products and initiatives.  
  • Maintain promotional coverage and visibility for the client's Store products, recommending opportunities to increase engagement and revenue across owned channels.  
  • Independently build, schedule, and quality assure emails, landing pages, and campaign assets within HubSpot while adhering to established audience and communication standards.  
  • Execute paid social and digital advertising campaigns (Meta, LinkedIn, Google) within established budget parameters and optimize performance based on results.  
  • Monitor campaign performance and make recommendations to improve audience engagement, conversion, and overall campaign effectiveness.  

Product Marketing & Campaign Optimization 

  • Serve as the primary marketing partner for assigned products and offerings, translating business objectives into actionable campaign strategies.  
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand goals, audiences, and key messages while ensuring campaigns align with organizational marketing standards.  
  • Identify opportunities to improve positioning, segmentation, promotional timing, and channel effectiveness to maximize impact.  
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations that support growth, audience engagement, and revenue generation.  

Third-Party & Partner Campaign Management 

  • Execute promotional campaigns supporting third-party partnerships including AMBA, OT JobLink, and similar initiatives.  
  • Collaborate with Sales & Business Development to manage promotional calendars, asset requirements, and campaign schedules.  
  • Provide feedback and recommendations regarding campaign performance and asset effectiveness.  

Membership & Annual Conference Marketing Support 

  • Support execution of the organizations' annual conference marketing initiatives under the direction of the Head of Marketing.  
  • Build campaign emails, paid advertising, and supporting assets while maintaining timelines and ensuring quality delivery.  
  • Support membership acquisition, retention, and engagement campaigns through email and paid social execution, audience segmentation, and reporting.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency across membership and conference campaigns.  

Audience Segmentation & Market Insights 

  • Manage campaign-level audience segmentation within established enterprise frameworks.  
  • Analyze campaign results and market trends to identify opportunities for improved targeting and audience engagement.  
  • Recommend segmentation enhancements and personalization strategies that support member experience and business goals.  

Content, Asset & Creative Management 

  • Maintain and organize marketing assets, templates, and campaign documentation.  
  • Partner with the Graphic Designer to develop creative assets that align with campaign goals and brand standards.  
  • Write and edit copy for email, web, social media, and digital advertising channels.  
  • Ensure content adheres to accessibility, brand, and audience standards.  

Marketing Operations & Reporting 

  • Track and analyze campaign performance, providing insights and contributing to monthly and quarterly reporting.  
  • Maintain proficiency across HubSpot, digital advertising platforms, and other marketing tools.  
  • Support marketing operations through campaign documentation, calendar management, and process improvements.  
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, campaign processes, and marketing efficiency.  
  • Stay current on marketing trends, emerging technologies, and AI-enabled tools that enhance productivity and effectiveness. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.  
  • Minimum of 4 or more years of progressive marketing experience with demonstrated ownership of campaigns from strategy through execution.  
  • Experience developing and managing integrated marketing campaigns supporting products, events, educational offerings, or revenue-generating initiatives.  
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot or similar CRM and marketing automation platforms, including email campaigns, audience segmentation, and basic workflow management.  
  • Experience with paid digital advertising, including Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads, or similar platforms, with the ability to independently manage campaigns within established budgets.  
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, audience engagement, email marketing, and campaign analytics.  
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze campaign performance, leverage insights, and make recommendations to improve engagement and business outcomes.  
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging across audiences and channels.  
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.  
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, solve problems creatively, and operate with a high degree of accountability and independence.  
  • Strong relationship management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with internal stakeholders.  
  • Ability to balance creative thinking with strong attention to detail and operational excellence.  
  • Experience contributing ideas and recommendations related to audience segmentation, campaign strategy, and performance optimization.  
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving, and resource-conscious environments while maintaining flexibility and a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.  
  • Curiosity and commitment to continuous learning, including an interest in emerging technologies, marketing trends, and AI-enabled tools.  
  • Experience in association, nonprofit, healthcare, education, or membership-based organizations is preferred. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT (Remote/Hybrid):

  • This role offers a 100% remote work environment, with hybrid options working from organizations' Bethesda, Maryland headquarters. 
  • Occasional travel may be required to attend conferences, meetings, organizational events, and professional development activities.
