Job Description Summary:

This position description describes all the important features of the job that will, in particular, enable specific objectives of the organization to be achieved. The attributes of the person able to perform this job are described in the person specification.

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Provide unbranded home country technical support which will include:
    • Supervision of inward chick deliveries through to the first 7 days of life on customer’s farms.
    • Liaison for urgent technical issues linking with assigned technical manager.
    • Translation and review of translated technical literature to support local industry.
    • Liaison and link to local industry associations or organizations.
    • Gather local market intelligence.
  • Regularly accompany technical managers on visits across the region for the purpose of learning different approaches in service provision as well as exposure to different environments and challenges faced by customers.
  • Assisting with the delivery of technical seminars and trade shows.
  • Actively participate in industry organizations.
  • Produce monthly technical reports and customer visit reports according to customer contact.
  • Understanding the customer’s objectives and forming long-term business partnerships in order to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Developing plans and deploying resources to service customers in order to improve product performance and achieve set objectives.
  • Work with assigned clients to establish and monitor technical service objectives.

  • Understanding and communicating modern management practices in the local industry.
  • Influencing through effective persuasion to drive change and improved product performance.
  • Maintaining a high level of technical knowledge through communication with relevant Aviagen personnel and participation in Asia technical seminars/workshops.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate Agricultural / Rural degree in poultry or animal science is a prerequisite.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant operational management within the industry. Preferable to have both breeder (GP and/or PS) as well as broiler management experience.
  • Sound understanding of technical fundamentals in areas of hatchery practice, nutrition, health is also required.
  • Ability to communicate (written and orally) in both Vietnamese language and English to a high level.
  • Good knowledge of market conditions of the poultry industry.
  • Understanding of poultry technology and current best management practices in breeder and broiler production.
  • Computer skills, including spread sheeting, use of computer database/ CRM, formal report writing, presentation creative design and economic modelling.
  • Production data analysis.-Understanding and supportive of Aviagen business goals.
  • Valid Local driver’s license.
