● Support Relationship Managers  with client-ready financial statements and insights.
● Help improve accounting workflows, systems, and internal processes.
● Develop into an increasingly client-facing accounting leader as transactional accounting becomes more automated.

● Mentor team members in accounting fundamentals, systems, client service, and LCDG standards.
● Provide direct and constructive performance feedback.
● Make appropriate judgment calls on behalf of the pack.
● Take responsibility for team outcomes rather than automatically routing decisions upward.
● Hold team members accountable for completing work accurately and on schedule.
● Develop the technical and professional capabilities of junior team members.
● Demonstrate calm, confident leadership during demanding periods.
2. Ownership, Problem-Solving & Decision-Making
● Take ownership when an accounting, operational, or client-related problem is identified.
● Work through problems independently before escalating.
● Determine what information is needed to reach a solution.
● Research answers when the solution is not immediately obvious.
● Make sound professional judgment calls when appropriate.
● Ensure solutions are actually implemented rather than stopping at problem identification.
● Take responsibility for outcomes.
● Escalate only when necessary and provide:
○ A clear explanation of the issue.
○ What has already been attempted.
○ The remaining obstacle.
○ A recommended path forward.
● Operate confidently in situations where there may be more than one reasonable
accounting or operational approach.
3. Workflow Management & Delivery
● Organize daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual responsibilities across the
pack.
● Maintain visibility into active work and outstanding deliverables.
● Rebalance workloads when necessary.

● Ensure supporting schedules and documentation are complete.
● Maintain strong internal controls and documentation standards.
● Ensure financial information is useful, understandable, and appropriate for the client environment.
6. Flexible Accounting Judgment

● Understand that restaurant bookkeeping may require practical business judgment alongside technical accounting knowledge.
● Recognize that the most useful presentation or process for a client may evolve as circumstances change.
● Understand the business reason behind financial reporting decisions, not merely the technical rule.
● Be comfortable operating in gray areas where several reasonable options may exist.
● Adapt processes when new information, technology, or client needs justify a better approach.
● Avoid relying on “this is how it has always been done” as the default answer.
● Balance accuracy, consistency, usefulness, and client needs.

● Communicate clearly and confidently with restaurant owners, operators, and financial stakeholders.

● Communicate professionally regarding financial questions, deadlines, and outstanding issues.
● Provide accounting analysis and context for client discussions.

9. Process Improvement & SOP Development
● Document and maintain bookkeeping and accounting workflows.
● Update SOPs as processes evolve.

● Look for ways to improve:
○ Accuracy.
○ Close speed.
○ Team communication.

● Encourage team members to understand why a process exists rather than simply following instructions.
10. Technology, AI & Automation

● Use technology to improve accounting efficiency and accuracy.
● Maintain advanced hands-on QuickBooks Online proficiency.
● Learn and use Restaurant365 where required.
