Job description

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and highly organized Paralegal based in Colombia to join a dynamic legal support team for a U.S. law firm. This is an immediate-replacement full-time position for professionals with a solid background supporting Personal Injury, Civil Law, or Litigation cases.

In this role, you will support attorneys in case management from intake through settlement or litigation support. You will draft legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and demand packages, as well as track medical records, interface with insurance carriers, and assist with court e-filings and deposition preparation.

If you bring 1–3 years of paralegal experience, strong legal drafting skills, and fluency in English, we want to connect with you! (Please note: Active students will not be considered for this role due to full-time schedule commitments).

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Case Management: Manage case files, deadlines, and documentation from intake through settlement or trial preparation using CRM platforms.
  • Legal Drafting & Review: Draft and revise legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, demand letters, and settlement packages under attorney supervision.
  • Litigation & Trial Support: Assist attorneys with hearing preparation, depositions, mediations, exhibit organization, and court e-filings.
  • Records & Insurance Coordination: Request, audit, and track medical records, billing statements, treatment updates, liens, and insurance claim processes.
  • Client & Third-Party Communication: Provide regular case updates to clients, communicate with medical providers, and interface with insurance adjusters.

Mandatory Qualifications (Hard Requirements)

  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience working as a Paralegal (experience supporting U.S.-based law firms or U.S. litigation/personal injury cases is strongly preferred).
  • Location & Availability: Must be based in Colombia (100% Remote) and available for an immediate start (ASAP replacement).
  • Education Status: Graduated professionals only (Active students will NOT be considered).
  • Language Proficiency: Advanced English level (B2+ to C1).
  • Software: Advanced proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Hands-on experience with legal case management platforms (Clio, Filevine, or similar software).
  • Direct experience with U.S. court e-filing systems, discovery coordination, medical lien negotiations, and settlement procedures.
