ASI is actively seeking a Project Manager who help support the analysis and reporting for an important Department of Homeland Security federal agency’s customer experience strategy.  The Strategy and Organization Development Consultant will support a major Department of Homeland Security (DHS) component with customer experience (CX) strategy, communications, survey development, analysis, and organizational improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management - Support the project manager and team in coordinating projects. Specific activities may include:
    • Collect the necessary information required to start projects
    • Providing operational support such as liaising with stakeholders, tracking timelines, etc.
    • Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining project documentation, agendas, and reports.
  • Communications and Strategy – Support communications/marketing efforts for a Federal agency’s CX program and initiatives. Specific activities may include:
    • Develop targeted messaging to convey program’s impact and success in keeping with agency/program guidelines and priorities to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Develop materials including memos, PowerPoints, fact sheets, case studies, articles brochures, briefing books, reports, and other forms of internal and external communications, and manage clearance processes.
    • Follow communications protocols as agreed upon with client and ASI leadership team, including receiving approvals for outreach and deliverables.
    • Ensure program materials are branded correctly and consistently in keeping with client standards and branding guidelines.
  • Survey Design, Administration, and Analysis – Work with a team conducting root cause analysis and action planning, leveraging a range of data collection methods (e.g., targeted surveys, focus groups, interviews) for the design, development, and deployment of customer satisfaction and/or employee surveys and initiatives
  • Presentation/Meeting Facilitation – Support high quality meeting design and facilitation, creating collaborative, open, and transparent forums for leadership and staff to identify opportunities for improvement of program processes
  • Business Process Management and Improvement Support – Provide support for improving processes, policies, and guidance. This may include the development of job aids, procedures, concept of operations, web-based publications and guidance and communication plans

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and/or possess favorable DHS fitness determination (TSA EOD / Suitability / Public Trust) 
  • BA/BS degree
  • 5-7 years of Federal Government consulting experience with change management/presentation/design preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; proficiency with Canva, Visio or other graphic arts and desktop publishing software a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Develop high-quality client deliverables, including crisp Power Point decks, recommendations, communication messages and materials, and executive briefings
  • Design and facilitate client meetings
  • Drive critical project actions forward on behalf of the client
  • Experience designing and implementing cutting-edge SharePoint sites a plus
  • Coordinate and schedule client meetings and workshops
  • Partner with colleagues and contract teammates to achieve desired client outcomes
  • Ability to produce various informational products occasionally under tight deadlines

Clearance Requirement: Active and Current DHS TSA Public Trust

Work Location & Schedule:

  • Primary Location: Remote 
  • Onsite Requirements:100% Remote; ability to go onsite in Springfield, VA as needed
