Join Advanced Systems Group as a Line Producer/Shooter – Drive Creativity from Concept to Capture!

About the Role:
Calling all hands-on production trailblazers! Advanced Systems Group seeks a Line Producer/Shooter with a passion for making things happen—on set and behind the scenes. This dynamic hybrid role puts you at the front lines of shoot production, blending logistical mastery with the thrill of hands-on shooting. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love to solve new challenges daily, and get energized by collaborating with creative teams, we want you on our crew.

What You'll Do:

  • Field Deployment & Tactical Shooting: Capture high-impact brand, editorial, and commercial content—delivering video, b-roll, audio, and photography. Whether leading as a nimble one-person band or collaborating on larger multi-person crews, you're in the action.

  • Logistics & Travel Coordination: Map out and execute seamless end-to-end itineraries, including travel, lodging, vehicle rentals, and gear transit. You'll craft daily call sheets, organize gear manifests, and keep schedules on track.

  • Permitting & Administrative Minutia: Facilitate smooth shoots by securing all necessary permits, clearances, releases, talent waivers, and COIs. No location is too complex!

  • Budget Support & Reconciliation: Collaborate with Creative Producers to manage field expenses, petty cash, p-cards, vendor quotes, and post-production invoices—keeping the numbers dialed in.

  • Gear & Technical Oversight: Prep, organize, and transport all camera, lighting, and audio equipment—while troubleshooting on the fly to keep shoots moving.

  • Vendor & Local Fixer Management: Scout and coordinate with local crew, fixers, rental houses, and catering—serving as the key operational contact onsite.

  • Post-Production Handoff: Manage card dumps, metadata, and asset deliveries for a smooth editorial handoff. When needed, assemble rough cuts or quick social edits to bring the vision to life.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • Scrappy & Resourceful: You stay agile in ever-changing environments, solve problems fast, and never back down from a production challenge.

  • Tactical Execution: High-level creative direction? You turn it into action with focus, organization, and attention to deadlines.

  • Technical Prowess: Comfortable with digital cinema/mirrorless cameras, lighting, and audio gear? You’re our technical ace on set.

  • Meticulous Organization: From paperwork to gear manifests, your attention to detail keeps everything running without a hitch.

  • Calm Under Fire: You remain cool and communicative even when the pressure cranks up.

  • Collaborative Communicator: Partnering with local authorities, crew, and creative leads comes naturally to you.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or practical hands-on field experience

  • 2–4 years in video production, field coordination, or junior line producing (commercial, digital agency, documentary, or branded content)

  • Proven on-set camera and tech operation experience (capable with Sony FX/A7, Canon C-series, RED, or similar)

  • Reel or portfolio of shot content

  • Direct experience obtaining permits, managing COIs, and securing releases

  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace, StudioBinder, Airtable, and Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve

The Details:

  • Fully remote, 40 hours per week

  • Must be able to travel to project sites as needed
