Job description

Mission πŸ’ͺ

Our mission is to ensure that no one in the world has to suffer from a treatable skin disease because of an access issue ever again.

About Honeydew πŸ‘‹

Honeydew is building a platform for hundreds of millions of people globally to access expertise and science-backed skin treatments, from prescription to retail.

Our tech-forward dermatology experience helps people with chronic skin conditions access licensed specialists, FDA-approved treatment, and ongoing support in record time (24 hours vs. an industry average of 6 months).

Honeydew is the future of skin health β€” digitally native, scientifically rooted, integrated end-to-end (evaluation + treatments + lab tests), and powered by AI.

Opportunity πŸ“ˆ

At Honeydew, we're redefining how Americans access dermatology care β€” tackling huge barriers in access and cost with a model that makes getting evidence-backed treatment easy, affordable, and genuinely effective.

This role manages prior authorizations for dermatology medications, including topicals, orals, injectables, and specialty drugs. You'll work closely with internal clinical teams, insurance carriers, and pharmacies to submit, track, and resolve prior authorizations and support patients through financial access pathways when needed.

This role is fully remote and will report to the Prior Authorization Lead.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Submit and manage prior authorizations for dermatology medications

  • Track authorization status and follow up to prevent delays in care

  • Respond to requests for additional clinical documentation

  • Prepare and submit appeals when required

  • Coordinate with pharmacies and insurance to resolve authorization issues

  • Support enrollment in patient assistance programs and manufacturer copay programs when applicable

  • Maintain accurate documentation in internal systems

You'll Thrive Here If…

  • You enjoy solving complex insurance puzzles and navigating payer requirements

  • You're highly detail-oriented and catch small errors before they become big delays

  • You feel satisfaction from keeping processes organized and moving efficiently

  • You're proactive about following up and don't let tasks fall through the crack

  • You communicate confidently with insurance reps, pharmacies, and clinical teams

  • You're comfortable handling time-sensitive work that directly impacts patient care

  • You care deeply about removing financial barriers so patients can access treatment

  • You believe healthcare should be accessible to everyone, not just the privileged few

  • You find joy in doing work that matters
