Reporting to: Chief Marketing Officer
Location: Fully Remote — European Time Zones
Employment: Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for a Social Media Lead to own and grow CXM’s global social media presence across organic and paid channels. This is a hands-on, player-coach role combining strategy, execution, performance optimisation, community management, and team leadership.

You will play a key role in consolidating CXM’s regional social presence, improving performance across markets, and building a consistent, engaging global brand presence.

Key Objectives

  • Consolidate all regional Facebook pages into a single global page within the first 90 days, with no loss of existing followers.
  • Deliver agreed ROAS targets across paid social campaigns by the end of Q4.
  • Drive quarter-on-quarter improvement in reach, engagement, follower growth, and CTR.
  • Establish a consistent monthly social media performance reporting and optimisation rhythm.
  • Launch a follower-exclusive content and promotions programme within the first six months.
  • Build scalable processes and, over time, support and lead local social media managers.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute CXM’s global social media strategy in line with wider marketing objectives.
  • Build and manage content calendars across campaigns, promotions, company updates, and market opportunities.
  • Identify emerging platform, audience, and content trends.

Content & Community

  • Coordinate, schedule, and publish content across relevant social platforms.
  • Maintain consistency in brand identity, tone of voice, messaging, and positioning.
  • Manage comments, direct messages, and community interactions professionally and promptly.
  • Monitor sentiment and escalate customer issues or recurring concerns to the appropriate teams.

Paid Social

  • Plan, launch, manage, and optimise paid social campaigns, particularly across Meta.
  • Manage budgets across markets and campaign objectives.
  • Test and optimise audiences, creatives, placements, and messaging.
  • Improve campaign performance across reach, traffic, engagement, conversions, and cost efficiency.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and analyse organic and paid social performance.
  • Produce regular performance reports with clear insights and recommendations.
  • Turn data into actionable optimisation decisions.
  • Monitor competitor activity and platform developments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with design, content, regional marketing, CXM Support, compliance, and other internal teams.
  • Support product launches, promotions, events, partnerships, and wider marketing campaigns through social media.

Team Leadership

  • Provide direction and support to local social media managers as the team develops.
  • Establish standards, processes, and best practices across markets.
  • Remain hands-on while coaching and developing the wider social team.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience managing social media for a global or multi-market brand.
  • Strong hands-on experience with paid social, particularly Meta Ads.
  • Strong understanding of organic social, content strategy, and community management.
  • Demonstrable ability to analyse social performance and optimise based on data.
  • Experience managing budgets, campaigns, audiences, and creative testing.
  • Strong brand, content, and copy judgement.
  • Excellent stakeholder and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as fintech, crypto, or financial services is advantageous.
  • Experience managing or mentoring social media teams is a plus.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to own and shape CXM’s global social media function.
  • A genuinely remote role with flexibility across European time zones.
  • The chance to consolidate and build a global social operation from the ground up.
  • A strong, experienced team and supportive leadership environment.
  • Competitive base salary plus a performance-based bonus linked to social KPIs and campaign results.
