Location: Fully remote, with the requirement that you reside within a 75-mile radius of New Brunswick, NJ and be available to attend local court hearings, trials, depositions, and client meetings as needed.
Note: Must have first-party property litigation experience and an active, current license in good standing with either the New York or New Jersey Bar. Candidates licensed in both New York and New Jersey are strongly preferred.

Job Description
- Manage first-party property litigation matters through pre-litigation, discovery, negotiation, hearings, depositions, mediation, trial preparation, and resolution.
- Provide thoughtful legal advice and strategic guidance to clients throughout the life of each matter.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, notices, subpoenas, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Organize, analyze, and summarize voluminous records and identify key facts, issues, and evidence.
- Prepare exhibits, case materials, witnesses, and supporting documentation for depositions, hearings, examinations, and trials.
- Conduct factual investigations, interviews, statements, document collection, and database research.
- Perform legal research and analyze statutes, policies, court procedures, and relevant case law.
- Evaluate case strengths, weaknesses, risks, and potential strategies to support favorable outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, witnesses, experts, and internal team members.
- Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines and assignments efficiently.
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Active license in good standing with the New York or New Jersey Bar.
- 1+ year of directly relevant first-party property litigation experience.
- Ideally 3+ years of experience as a practicing associate attorney, with 3 to 4 years especially well aligned.
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation practices, legal research, discovery, pleadings, motions, and court procedures.
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to independently manage priorities, deadlines, and case responsibilities.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, legal research platforms, and standard legal technology.
- Ability to travel locally for hearings, trials, depositions, and client meetings when required.
