Job description

Impact Drill & Blast offers integrated drill and blast services, offering full Rock on Ground capabilities covering every stage of the project from survey, blast design, markout, drilling and bulk explosives supply to firing of blasts. With over 30 years’ experience, we service clients who work in the civil, mining and quarrying sectors.

About this Opportunity

Our company is in the midst of rapid expansion in the industry, and we are excited to offer opportunities within our Northern Territory team for full time blast crew positions. These roles are pivotal in delivering top-tier blasting services to our quarry, construction, and forestry clients. While these positions are primarily based in Marrakai, overnight travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in physically demanding work.
  • Establish exclusion zones with appropriate signage.
  • Follow all instructions on the blast site from the shotfirer and/or supervisor.
  • Ensure site and equipment cleanliness.
  • Uphold Impact's safety culture and standards in the designated area.
  • Perform any other duties as required by a supervisor/manager from time to time.

The Successful Applicant Will Have:

  • Australian Open Class manual driver's license.
  • Proficiency in using computers and operating systems.
  • Physical agility to undertake extended periods of walking, carrying, and bending.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness and ability to pass a national police check.
  • Successful completion of a medical and Drug & Alcohol assessment.
  • Desirable experience in the quarry or mining industry.
