Shop Drawer / Drafter - Joinery & Shopfitting for AU Client (Remote)

Work From Home | Full-Time | AU Hours | PH-Based

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Shop Drawer / Drafter to support an Australian joinery and shopfitting business.

This role is responsible for producing accurate and buildable shop drawings for custom joinery projects, supporting production, CNC programming, project management, and installation teams.

You will play a key role in ensuring all drawings align with design intent, manufacturing requirements, and installation needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed shop drawings for custom joinery and shopfitting projects
  • Read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, materials, hardware, and finishes
  • Collaborate with estimating, project, and production teams to confirm technical feasibility and joinery methods
  • Generate drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and joinery-specific software such as SWOOD, SWOOD CAM, and SWOOD Nesting
  • Submit drawings for approval and revise them based on design changes or site conditions
  • Issue approved shop drawings to production for fabrication and manufacture
  • Convert approved drawings and models into CAM-ready files for machining
  • Prepare cutting lists, material schedules, and hardware specifications
  • Liaise with project managers, production staff, and installers to resolve design and production issues
  • Maintain drawing registers, production documentation, and shared project repositories

Requirements

  • Proven experience in shop drawing and drafting for joinery, cabinetry, shopfitting, or manufacturing
  • Strong ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications
  • Experience with materials, hardware, fabrication methods, and construction processes
  • Strong understanding of joinery construction methods
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Experience with SWOOD, SWOOD CAM, or SWOOD Nesting is highly desirable
  • Experience preparing cutlists, production documentation, and CNC-ready files
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and collaborate with multiple teams
