Job description

Job Brief

As a Data Engineer you will be a member of our Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing Services team. You will design and implement data pipelines, implement traditional ETL processes, collaborate with development teams, and maintain the production system to meet our clients’ needs.


Main Responsibilities

  • Diagnose complex data warehouse ETL processes, business logic failures and data flows, to quickly resolve issues
  • Manage large-scale processing systems and institute scalable data solutions
  • Conceptualize and generate infrastructure that allows big data to be accessed and analyzed
  • Develop and maintain technical specification documentation for all reports and processes
  • Construct dataset procedures that enable data mining, modeling, and production


Job Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, or any other closely related field
  • 2-5 years’ experience in data engineering 
  • Experience in logical and physical database design
  • Knowledge of data management concepts (e.g., permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring)
  • Experience processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data, including integrating data from multiple sources
  • Experience with relational & non-relational databases (SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB, etc.)
  • Ability to solve complex networking, data, and software issues
  • Excellent command of the English language both written and spoken
  • Military obligations fulfilled, if applicable 


Desirable Knowledge

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, dbt, BigQuery, Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience with Spark, or the Hadoop ecosystem and similar frameworks
  • Knowledge of Python, Kafka, Scala or Java, and a willingness to learn new programming languages to meet goals and objectives
  • Prior working experience in telecommunications
