Job Description:

The Senior Supply Planner will be based in Shanghai. In this position, you will report to
Materials Planning Manager, APAC Planning. The Senior Supply Planner brings tactical expertise & strategic thinking to support a world-class demand-driven supply chain. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of supply planning for our solar tracker components comprising varied commodities (Castings, Electromechanical Sub-systems, Stampings Steel Tubes, Foundations etc.). You will be working closely with Suppliers, Program Management, Procurement, Logistics & Delivery Managers to ensure that we have the materials we need to meet our delivery schedules & Revenue goals. You will be owner for Vendor’s performance on Delivery & representing Planning during QBRs (Quarterly Business Review). Watch “Culture is our Passion” to learn more about us.

Here is a glimpse of what you will do:

  • ​​Will be responsible for improving the overall experience for Vendors & Delivery Managers alike by ensuring vendors clearly understand the delivery schedules & delivery managers are apprised timely about their Project’s material readiness status.
  • Communicate protocols across the value chain to ensure transparent & effective communication & also deploy best Supply Planning practices.
  • Perform supplier allocations based on Customer schedules, Supply Capacities, Supplier agreements & inventory levels.
  • Analyses Item level forecast/demand vs Capacity to signal any potential supply Risks
  • Perform Capacity RAMP UP/ RAMP DOWN scenarios for NPI Parts
  • Provide early alerts to Delivery Managers for any supplier gaps on Delivery Schedules & work with vendor on recovery plans to de-risk project LDs / penalties.
  • Manage supplier relationships & ensure Vendor OTD (On-Time Delivery)
  • Develop and implement process improvements to streamline the supply planning process
  • Vendor Single Point of Contact (SPOC) to coordinate internally with Procurement, Sourcing, NPI & logistics for their respective actions.
  • Host weekly supplier meetings for updates on PO status, raw material, forecast, quality, procurement and logistics concerns.
  • Participate in quarterly supplier QBRs and provide feedback for mutual success.
  • Support testing and adoption of Anaplan to expedite planning system transformation.
  • Generate reports and presentations on supply planning activities.

Here is some of what you will need (required):

  • ​​Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field with (8-10) years of experience in Supply Planning, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience with planning methodologies (e.g., S&OP, Demand Planning, Strategic Planning).
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
  • Expert MS EXCEL Skills leveraging Power Query, Power Pivots, Solvers etc.
