Role: Meta Ads Coach (Media Buyer + Strategist)

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 + Super
Location: Remote (AU or US timezone alignment required)
Type: Full-time

About the Role

We’re looking for a high-level Meta Ads operator who can coach founders at a strategic level.

This is not a traditional media buying role. You won’t be managing one brand or executing campaigns day-to-day. Instead, you’ll work across a portfolio of established ecommerce businesses inside Foundr’s Operators Membership helping founders identify what’s working, what’s broken, and where to scale. You will be responsible for direction, decision-making, and clarity.

If you can open an ad account, quickly spot patterns, and clearly explain what needs to change and why, you’ll thrive in this role.

What You’ll Do

  • Audit and diagnose Meta ad accounts across multiple ecommerce brands
  • Identify bottlenecks across creative, targeting, funnel and offer
  • Deliver clear, commercially grounded recommendations to founders
  • Run bi-weekly 15-minute pulse checks 1-1 with foundr students
  • Lead weekly group Q&A sessions and live account breakdowns
  • Provide ongoing support via Slack and Circle (async + in-thread feedback)
  • Guide founders on testing strategy, scaling decisions, and optimisation
  • Translate performance data into simple, actionable insights
  • Identify patterns across accounts and feed insights back into the program

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years in paid media or performance marketing (ecommerce focused)
  • Deep expertise in Meta Ads Manager
  • Experience working with brands spending $10K+ per dayon paid advertising
  • Strong understanding of: Creative testing and iteration, Campaign structure and optimisation, Conversion rate and funnel performance, Unit economics (CAC, AOV, MER, contribution margin)
  • Ability to identify patterns, prioritise quickly, and make confident decisions
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate data into action
  • Clear communication: you can explain complex concepts simply
  • Comfortable being on Zoom, leading conversations, and coaching founders live
  • Experience working across multiple brands or accounts simultaneously

Bonus (Not Required)

  • Experience coaching, consulting, or mentoring founders
  • Familiarity with attribution tools (Triple Whale, Hyros etc)
  • Familiarity with Leadsie
  • Agency-side experience
  • Exposure to scaling founder-led ecommerce brands

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means that founders leave every interaction with clarity and direction. Students in the program will see improvements in key metrics across CPA, MER, and conversion rate. You will become a trusted strategic voice inside the program, ensuring that coaching sessions are sharp, efficient, and insight-driven. Ultimately, you will identify repeatable patterns that improve outcomes across the entire cohort.

How We Work

You will support a cohort of 50 founders initially, with the potential to scale to 100 or more. Your delivery will include bi-weekly 15-minute pulse checks, weekly group coaching sessions, and community support via Slack and Circle. You will work closely with the Foundr team and seasoned media buyers to improve student outcomes at scale.

Why Foundr

Working at Foundr means collaborating with serious founders who are already generating revenue. This is a high-impact role where your thinking directly affects business performance. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with and be mentored by one of the most well known and respected media buyers in the world, Nick Shackelford, You will be part of a fast-moving, founder-led environment with the opportunity to grow into a senior strategic or program lead role.
