About

We are a group of driven young professionals in the Northwest Denver Area, who want to enhance our community by supporting our Friends with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We meet once a month, every third Thursday evening. Our meetings rotate through a cycle of informational/planning, team building/networking, and volunteering at FRIENDS.

Our Goals

  • To BeFRIEND professionals in the community to spread FRIENDS’ mission and strategic objectives
  • To raise funds to support FRIENDS’ Day, Residential, Supported Employment, Social & Travel, and Behavioral Support programs
  • To cultivate greater community awareness and to build partnerships in the Broomfield area and beyond
  • To provide social, networking, development and volunteer opportunities that promote individual professional growth and organizational support for young aspiring and charitable professionals
  • To increase corporate community and support

Membership Commitments

  • Attend monthly meetings
  • Volunteer at 2+ BeFRIEND sanctioned volunteer opportunities
  • Attend quarterly “At FRIENDS” & “Happy Hour” meetings as able
  • One year of service on the Advisory Board
  • Commit to holding a FRIENDSgiving Campaign
  • Attend FRIENDS fundraising events as able (Topgolf Tournament, FRIENDS Luncheon & Fashion Show, and Variety Show)
