POSITION SCOPE – GreenGen currently has an open opportunity for a Construction Manager to oversee and direct on-site construction projects from conception to completion under the terms of GreenGen contracts. Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs. Overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations. This full-time position will report directly to Director of Project Management and will serve as a trusted partner and proxy to the DPM. They will work with the DPM and PM team to ensure implementation plans are effectively developed, communicated, managed, and executed. This role requires a highly resourceful, emotionally intelligent, and self-motivated individual with a combination of focus and flexibility.

WHAT WE WANT

  • Effectively manage and support onsite client engagements and expectations
  • Identify and problem solve to maintain the project schedule and project budget
  • Ensure work conforms to contracted statement of work, project plans and specifications
  • Review, critique, and advise the Solutions team with design and scope development
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, and suppliers
  • Support the Project Manager by directing subcontractors and foremen to ensure timely and quality completion of contracted work
  • Create and manage job schedules with the Project Manager and/or Director of Project Management to include baseline development, cost loading, schedule status and schedule forecast
  • Review with the Project Manager all subcontractor invoices versus subcontract schedule of values, scope performed, and material utilized
  • Perform investment grade building audits
  • Oversee the performance, commissioning, and acceptance and initial measurement and verification processes with the subcontractor and the customer witnesses/designated accepting official(s). The documentation will be in accordance with the approved Customer Contract and GreenGen Policy.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the development and management of project schedules
  • Review daily subcontractor construction reports and take action as necessary
  • Prepare daily project reports based on reporting from subcontractors, trades, and material vendors
  • Supervise inspection, testing, commissioning, and final punch out in accordance with commissioning and quality control plan
  • Ensure that personnel working on project site are complying with installation and command directives for badging and access, including any requirements for escorted access
  • Complete any required safety training and/or certifications required to be on client sites
  • Identify solutions and potential new business opportunities during onsite engagements, when applicable
  • Lead and/or attend regular construction meetings to support efficient communication among project stakeholders
  • Plan and direct site mobilization/demobilization activities (laydown areas, site restoration)
  • Timely and accurate reporting of all worksite quality action in accordance with quality control plan
  • Immediate, accurate reporting of all project safety incidents. Promote safe work practices with the intent of preventing injuries. Ensure work is executed in accordance with site accident prevention plan and activity hazard analyses. Deliver safety briefings as appropriate.
  • Daily supervision/management of GreenGen subcontractors working on-site
  • Weekly status reports (schedule updates, Issues logs, tasks completed, tasks scheduled
  • Facilitation of the weekly project status and safety meetings with on-site subcontractor’s personnel
  • Preparation and distribution of status reports and action Items to the project stakeholders
  • Management of project change control (any approved deviation of specifications and contractual specified requirements) escalate any requested scope deviations with GreenGen Management for approval before effecting any change with the subcontractor.
  • Problem escalation and issue resolutions (in consultation with GreenGen Management)
  • Oversee/manage the secure storage and on-site staging of materials procured and the secure staging area on site to installation subcontractor.
  • Support the Engineering Team by conducting full-building audits for future project sites.


LOCATION– Remote (United States)

GreenGen operates internationally, requiring regular travel; however, GreenGen’s corporate headquarters is located in Bethesda, MD. This position does not require relocation to Bethesda.


TRAVEL – Within the US and possibly international will be required for this role up to 60% of the time
