Overview

The Manager, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, will help drive high-impact communications across investors, media, employees, and other key stakeholders. Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Communications, and partnering closely with the Investor Relations and Corporate Communications team, this role will turn company strategy, milestones, and data into clear, compelling communications that support investor engagement, corporate visibility, and internal alignment.

This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role for a strong communicator who thrives in a fast-moving public company environment. The ideal candidate brings curiosity, financial acumen, strong project management skills, and the ability to move quickly from insight to action while supporting executive communications, investor engagement, and commercial-stage biotechnology operations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Investor Relations & Corporate Communications 
  • Create and maintain high-impact investor relations and corporate communications materials, including press releases, earnings scripts, Q&A documents, corporate presentations, FAQs, fact sheets, executive biographies, website content, investor decks, templates, and social media content. 
  • Drive internal reviews, approvals, and final deliverables on behalf of the IR and corporate communications team. 
  • Support analyst and institutional investor engagement and help advance investor targeting strategies. 
  • Monitor metrics and analytics for multi-channel external engagement, media coverage, share of voice, company reputation, market activity, analyst sentiment, peer performance, and consensus estimates, to deliver real-time insights for leadership. 
  • Translate key milestones, including earnings, financings, clinical updates, and business developments, into timely, consistent communications for employees, investors, media, and other stakeholders. 
  • Own logistics, timelines, briefing materials, and execution support for events led by the team, including internal town halls, media interviews/roundtables and investor days. 
  • Support media relations by preparing press materials, tracking coverage, and helping build productive relationships with traditional and social media outlets. 
  • Manage agencies and vendors to keep projects moving, on budget, and aligned with investor relations and corporate communications priorities. 
  • Cross-Functional & Operational 
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Commercial, R&D, Patient Advocacy, and other teams to deliver accurate, consistent, and compliant communications across filings, disclosures, investor materials, the corporate website, internal meetings, and social media. 
  • Improve processes, tools, and workflows to increase the speed, organization, and scalability of the investor relations and corporate communications function. 
  • Lead or support priority investor relations and communications projects as business needs evolve. 
  • Must adhere to Iovance Biotherapeutics’ core values, policies, procedures, and business ethics.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. 

Required Education, Skills, and Knowledge 

  • 8+ years of experience in investor relations, external and internal corporate communications, public relations, equity research, investment banking, corporate finance, healthcare communications, or related fields. 
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, Finance, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, agency, or public company environments strongly preferred. 
  • Working knowledge of capital markets, valuation, investor behavior, sell-side research, SEC disclosure requirements, Regulation FD, and public company investor relations practices. 
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to turn clinical, scientific, and financial information into clear investment messaging. 
  • Excellent writer and communicator with experience developing persuasive scripts, presentations, executive materials, and stakeholder communications. 
  • Highly organized project manager who can manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail. 
  • Strong relationship builder with executive presence, sound judgment, and the ability to influence without authority. 
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint; experience with FactSet, Bloomberg, HubSpot, WordPress, or market-monitoring platforms is a plus. 
  • Professional maturity, discretion, and sound judgment in handling confidential information. 
  • Proactive self-starter who takes ownership, solves problems, and moves work forward with urgency and curiosity.

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is listed. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of the role, job duties/requirements, and relevant education, experience and skills.

$140,000$160,000 USD
