Job description

Technology is one of the biggest items in an enterprise CFO’s budget, second only to headcount. Traditional procurement is one of the most frustrating, friction-filled bottlenecks in the modern business.

Vertice is the world’s first Intelligent Procurement Platform eliminating this chaos. By combining agentic workflows, deep AI insights, and a global network of expert negotiators, we empower enterprises to buy smarter and scale at pace.

The market response has been unprecedented:

  • $75bn+ in spend processed across our platform.

  • 20% savings consistently delivered to our customers.

  • 70% reduction in standard enterprise procurement cycles.

  • 13X revenue growth achieved over the last two years alone.

Founded by serial technology entrepreneurs Roy and Eldar Tuvey, who have successfully scaled and exited two category-defining platforms and created $600M+ in enterprise value, we are backed by over $100M in Series C funding from tier 1 global investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, 83North, Lakestar. We have also been recognized as the #2 fastest-growing company on the Sunday Times' Tech 100 and the fastest-growing startup in the UK and Ireland by the FT’s Sifted (#4 in Europe).

With headquarters in London and hubs in New York, Brno, Sydney, and Johannesburg, we are fundamentally reshaping the global B2B economy.

As a Principal Procurement Manager, you’ll be a senior member in the team, playing a pivotal role in optimising SaaS procurement for our most strategic accounts. You'll partner closely to develop strategic sourcing plans, navigate negotiations with key SaaS vendors, and oversee supplier relationships throughout their lifecycle.

Your proven track record in saving costs and driving commercial change will be instrumental in maximising value for our customers. This is a key role, with responsibility for delivering great outcomes to our customers through the delivery of commercial strategies and negotiating SaaS purchases and renewals with their vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Service Delivery Management: You’ll be accountable for Vertice’s service delivery into a portfolio of enterprise accounts, supported by Vertice’s broader delivery capability and resources.

  • Strategic Client Management: You’ll work with our most strategic customers, some of the fastest growing and best known companies in the world, negotiating SaaS deals on their behalf.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with C-suite and senior stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of their requirements, purchase objectives, and technology strategy.

  • Partner Management: Manage key SaaS Partner relationships for our largest spend areas.

  • Sourcing Strategy: Implement Enterprise sourcing strategies, balancing innovation and best practice.

  • Team Development: Mentor junior members of the team to drive outcomes and foster team culture.

Requirements

  • You are a clear, confident and compelling communicator — in writing, in conversation and in front of C-suite stakeholders.

  • You’re able to provide strategic insight to customers, understanding their challenges, pain points and opportunities. You have experience of moving this insight into action and delivering commercial value for large organisations.

  • You will bring real negotiation expertise to the role, with an in-depth knowledge of the available levers to pull and strategies to employ to get the best result across the full range of enterprise SaaS vendors.

  • You’ll be a creative thinker that challenges customers and suppliers to help reach desired outcomes.

  • You are an expert in driving the delivery of commercial change at organisations, who can manage stakeholder expectations, provide constructive challenge and ensure all key objectives and timelines are met.

  • You will bring substantial years of commercial experience in an indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, or procurement consulting experience.

  • Category experience in technology (including IT/SaaS) is highly preferred.

Why join Vertice?

  • Be a part of a fast-growing, innovative startup that is changing the way businesses buy and sell SaaS.

  • Work with passionate and talented teams that value your contributions and expertise.

  • Be part of a culture that promotes a growth mindset, transparency, collaboration, understanding and diversity.

  • Share in our success with equity options.
