Job description

Technology is one of the biggest items in an enterprise CFO’s budget, second only to headcount. Traditional procurement is one of the most frustrating, friction-filled bottlenecks in the modern business.

Vertice is the world’s first Intelligent Procurement Platform eliminating this chaos. By combining agentic workflows, deep AI insights, and a global network of expert negotiators, we empower enterprises to buy smarter and scale at pace.

The market response has been unprecedented:

  • $75bn+ in spend processed across our platform.

  • 20% savings consistently delivered to our customers.

  • 70% reduction in standard enterprise procurement cycles.

  • 13X revenue growth achieved over the last two years alone.

Founded by serial technology entrepreneurs Roy and Eldar Tuvey, who have successfully scaled and exited two category-defining platforms and created $600M+ in enterprise value, we are backed by over $100M in Series C funding from tier 1 global investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, 83North, Lakestar. We have also been recognized as the #2 fastest-growing company on the Sunday Times' Tech 100 and the fastest-growing startup in the UK and Ireland by the FT’s Sifted (#4 in Europe).

With headquarters in London and hubs in New York, Brno, Sydney, and Johannesburg, we are fundamentally reshaping the global B2B economy.

The Role

You are a procurement leader ready to take ownership of Vertice's most strategic, highest-value client relationships. As a Principal Procurement Manager, you will run strategic sourcing plans and negotiations for customers referred to Vertice by private equity partners.

This is not a role for someone content to manage a queue of routine renewals. You will shape commercial strategy for our customers, negotiate directly with the SaaS vendors that dominate their tech stack, and own the outcomes on their tech stack end to end. You will leverage Vertice's proprietary agentic workflows and AI-powered vendor insights to build sharper negotiation positions and move faster than a traditional in house team ever could.

You will partner directly with C-suite and senior stakeholders, translating deep technology strategy into commercial outcomes, while building out and mentoring a team around you to raise the bar on delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Account Ownership: You will be accountable for Vertice's service delivery into a portfolio of our most strategic accounts, including some of our highest-value private equity relationships.

  • Executive Partnership: Work directly with C-suite and senior stakeholders to build a deep understanding of their requirements and technology strategy.

  • Enterprise Sourcing Strategy: Implement enterprise sourcing strategies that balance innovation with best practice, and own vendor relationships across your customers’ largest spend areas.

  • AI-Powered Negotiation: Use Vertice's proprietary agentic workflows and AI-driven vendor insights to sharpen your negotiation, benchmark pricing faster, and walk into every deal with a stronger hand.

  • Pod Leadership: Mentor junior members of your team, shaping outcomes and setting the standard for how the team operates.

Requirements

  • Procurement Expertise: You have substantial experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, or procurement consulting, and you know how to manage stakeholder expectations while holding everyone to the timeline. Technology and SaaS category management experience is highly preferred.

  • Strategic Partner: You can provide strategic insight to customers on their procurement strategies, understanding their challenges and opportunities. You’re a creative thinker who isn't afraid to challenge customers and suppliers to reach the best outcome.

  • Compelling Communicator: You are clear, confident, and persuasive, in writing, in conversation, and in front of C-suite stakeholders.

  • AI-Curious: You actively experiment with the latest AI tools in your own workflow, and want to work at a company where AI is core to how procurement gets done, not a slide in a pitch deck.

Why join Vertice?

  • Fast-Growth Impact: Join a fast-growing, innovative company that's changing how enterprises buy and sell SaaS, at a stage where your work shapes outcomes for our most strategic accounts.

  • Real Ownership: Work with passionate, talented teams who value your expertise and back you to run your own portfolio.

  • A Culture Built To Last: Be part of a culture that promotes a growth mindset, transparency, collaboration, and diversity.

  • Share In The Upside: Share in our success with equity options.
