Job description

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Grants Operations Manager to oversee the management of major grant processes and delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. The Grants Operations Manager will coordinate all aspects of the grant processes, from initial application to final reporting, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and deadlines. The Grants Operations Manager will ensure the Steve Fund meets all grant deliverables by collecting required information/data, tracking it in our project management and database systems, compiling reports (quantitative and qualitative), and interfacing with organizational leadership, development team members, and donors to present program outcomes against grant commitments.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Grants Manager will manage the end-to-end process of major grant initiatives, including but not limited to:  

  • Create and monitor grant project strategy plans - convening and facilitating, planning meetings, managing, tracking, and updating grant budgets, collecting, and reporting on deliverable/impact data, and completing grant close-out reporting.  
  • Oversee approved funding agreements to ensure that documentation and reporting requirements are met prior to due dates.  
  • Oversee and initial drafting of interim and final grant reports.  
  • Use existing project management and CRM tools (currently Monday.com and Salesforce) to keep workflow information clear and current.  
  • Commit to engaging seamlessly in a virtual work environment, using Slack,Google Suite tools, and other systems to support transparency and relationship building.
  • Ensure smooth and successful internal and external meetings, developing and distributing agendas ahead of time and utilizing both Zoom and Google Meet platforms.  
  • Maintain and manage complete records and files per The Steve Fund’s record-keeping policies, including funder and proposal information, contracts, paperwork, and key documentation.   
  • Coordinate with and attend meetings to ensure that the grant project    management strategy aligns with the Fundraising goals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3- 5 years experience in managing corporate contributions and grants.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with set deadlines/guidelines.  
  • Experience working for a nonprofit organization.  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.  
  • Professional interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a diverse  environment and across cultural backgrounds.  
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work volume while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong independent thinking and judgment, combined with solid logical and ethical reasoning.
  • Ability to problem-solve and develop long-term solutions to improve efficiency  and effectiveness.  
  • Good organizational skills with great attention to detail.  
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with database applications such as Salesforce, Monday.com, and Microsoft products

Salary Pay Range
$65,000$70,000 USD
