Salary Range

The annual salary range is between $75,000-$85,000, depending on level of experience.  Benefits include health insurance, a monthly data/business expense stipend, employer contributions towards a retirement plan, four weeks of paid vacation, eight sick days, and 11 paid holidays.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Steve Fund is seeking an experienced and creative Web Content Manager to lead our website strategy and digital content initiatives. This role will manage, develop, and optimize website content to increase engagement, improve accessibility, and strengthen the organization's digital presence. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of web management, SEO best practices, and an eye for design. This role requires collaboration with internal teams, including marketing, programs, and leadership, to ensure the website aligns with our mission and meets the needs of our audience.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Content Strategy & Development: Lead content creation, editing, and management for The Steve Fund website to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with our messaging and goals.
  • Web Maintenance & Optimization: Manage ongoing updates to web pages, troubleshoot any website issues, and regularly monitor site performance.
  • SEO & Analytics: Implement SEO strategies to enhance search rankings, increase organic traffic, and improve user experience. Monitor site analytics and generate monthly reports to track progress and optimize content.
  • Design & User Experience (UX): Collaborate with designers to enhance site visuals and user interface. Ensure the site is intuitive, accessible, and engaging for diverse audiences.
  • Content Calendar & Workflow: Develop and maintain a content calendar to support campaign launches, program updates, and marketing initiatives.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the Director of Communication and Marketing, along with other departments, to ensure website content aligns with organizational priorities and reflects current programming and partnerships.
  • Compliance & Accessibility: Ensure the website adheres to web accessibility standards (WCAG) and data protection regulations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, digital marketing, web design, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience managing websites and digital content for a mission-driven organization or similar.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in content management systems (e.g., WordPress), HTML, CSS, and familiarity with web design principles. Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and accessibility standards is essential.
  • Design Aptitude: Strong visual sense and understanding of UX/UI design principles. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva is a plus.
  • Project Management: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for diverse audiences.
  • Mission Alignment: Passion for The Steve Fund's mission and a commitment to advancing mental health support for young people of color.
