Job description

This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead month-end close activities for international entities including but not limited to Brazil, Canada and Mexico, including the preparation of journal entries, accruals, fixed assets, prepaid, amortizations, and intercompany transactions. Ensure all financial activities are recorded accurately and in compliance with internal policies and controls.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for international subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate reporting aligned with local statutory requirements and corporate standards.
  • Perform thorough balance sheet reconciliations and ensure complete documentation and support for account balances. Proactively investigate and resolve variances or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and local accounting firms to support statutory audits and tax filings, including bridging the gap between statutory financial and IFRS reporting.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure compliance with international regulatory and tax requirements. Serve as a key point of contact for local finance matters in supported regions.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and lead improvements through automation, standardization, and the implementation of best practices across international accounting processes.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in international operations.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP.
  • Expertise in financial software and ERP systems (NetSuite, Coupa preferred), along with advanced skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multicultural, cross-functional environment.
  • Fluent in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
