ASC Global, a leading independent distributor of electronic components since 1996, is expanding our global purchasing team. We are seeking a commercially sharp Excess Inventory Buyer who understands the dynamics of the electronic components market.

This role focuses on identifying, managing, and acquiring excess inventory from our current customers. It is a relationship-driven, high-activity position that combines outreach, negotiation, and account management, while maintaining accurate, up-to-date inventory visibility across your customer base. You’ll ensure we stay on top of excess stock opportunities through structured follow-ups and strong supplier engagement, using confident negotiation to secure inventory at the right price and terms.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Proactively reach out to existing customers to identify excess and slow-moving inventory

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with our partners

  • Source and evaluate excess stock opportunities for purchase or consignment

  • Regularly check in with customers to ensure inventory lists are current and accurate

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and purchase agreements with suppliers

  • Collaborate closely with global sales and purchasing teams to match supply with demand

  • Track market trends, pricing movements, and inventory availability

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and internal systems

  • Manage a consistent pipeline of inventory opportunities through high-volume outreach

What We’re Looking For

2–6 years of experience in:

  • Electronic components distribution / brokering, or

  • A related B2B sales, sourcing, or account management role

  • Understanding of excess inventory, supply/demand dynamics, and component life cycles

  • Strong communication skills with fluent English (spoken and written)

  • Confident on the phone and comfortable with high-volume outreach and relationship building

  • Solid negotiation skills and commercial awareness

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing follow-ups

  • Comfortable working remotely and across time zones (partial overlap with US hours required)

  • CRM and spreadsheet proficiency

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary + commission on acquired, then sold inventory

  • Access to a global network of customers and suppliers

  • A stable, well-established company with strong market presence

  • Collaborative, performance-driven team environment

  • Long-term growth opportunities within purchasing and trading functions

If you understand the electronic components space and enjoy building relationships while uncovering hidden inventory opportunities - we’d love to hear from you.
