PLC / SCADA Programmer I 

Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (20–30 hours per week)

What You’ll Do 

As a PLC / SCADA Programmer, you’ll work closely with engineers, project managers, field technicians, and clients to deliver reliable, high-quality automation solutions. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Program PLC logic and SCADA/HMI applications accurately and on schedule 
  

• Develop control logic, HMI screens, alarms, and system functionality 
  

• Assist with on-site system start-ups, commissioning, and troubleshooting 
  

• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to meet scope, budget, and schedule 
  

• Support the development of internal programming standards and reusable libraries 
  

• Communicate clearly with clients, contractors, and stakeholders on project needs 
  

• Contribute to department initiatives, marketing efforts, and continuous improvement 
  

• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For 

Minimum Qualifications 

• 3+ years of PLC/SCADA programming experience in water/wastewater processes 
  

• Strong understanding of industrial control systems and panel design 
  

• Working knowledge of field instruments and electro-mechanical devices 
  

• Ability to program using ladder logic, structured text, and VB scripting 
  

• Ability to read and interpret PLC wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and control narratives 
  

• Experience performing on-site troubleshooting with team support 
  

• Comfortable learning new software platforms independently 
  

• Solid understanding of modern computer systems and industrial networks
