Job description

Summary

We are seeking a Mid-to-Senior MuleSoft API Developer to design, build, deploy, and support enterprise-grade APIs and integrations using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. This role is central to delivering scalable, secure, and reusable integration solutions across cloud and on-premise environments and will collaborate closely with architects, business analysts, product owners, and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with API-led connectivity, REST and SOAP services, modern integration patterns, and Mule 4 development. This role offers the opportunity to shape integration architecture, create reusable assets, and support production APIs across a complex enterprise landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain APIs and integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  • Build solutions using API-led connectivity principles (System, Process, and Experience APIs).
  • Develop and support integrations between CRM, ERP, data platforms, SaaS applications, and internal systems.
  • Create reusable integration assets, connectors, templates, and shared services.
  • Participate in technical design sessions and help define integration architecture and best practices.
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders, analyze business processes, and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop APIs and services using RAML/OpenAPI specifications with proper versioning and documentation.
  • Implement API security policies including OAuth 2.0, JWT, basic authentication, mutual TLS, and API gateway controls.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues, integration failures, and production incidents.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes for MuleSoft applications.
  • Monitor integrations and APIs using platform tools and logging frameworks.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to development standards, code reviews, and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in software development, integration, or API engineering.
  • 3+ years of hands-on MuleSoft development experience using Anypoint Studio and Anypoint Platform.
  • Strong experience developing RESTful APIs and working with SOAP web services.
  • Solid understanding of integration patterns, message transformation, orchestration, and error handling.
  • Experience with DataWeave for mapping and transformation logic.
  • Proficiency with Mule 4.
  • Experience with API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Exchange.
  • Familiarity with RAML or OpenAPI/Swagger.
  • Knowledge of JSON, XML, and XSD.
  • Experience integrating with databases, file systems, SaaS platforms, and third-party APIs.
  • Experience with source control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • MuleSoft Certified Developer or other MuleSoft certifications.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with containerization and deployment tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with event-driven integration patterns and messaging platforms such as Kafka, JMS, or MQ.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
