About Employee Family Protection

At Employee Family Protection (EFP), we’re dedicated to supporting employees and their families through comprehensive benefit solutions and compassionate service. Our Benefit Service Center team plays a vital role in helping employees understand their benefit options and resolving coverage questions quickly and effectively.


We’re looking for a Benefit Service Center Associate based in the Pacific Time Zone, including California and other West Coast locations, who is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a call center environment.

This position is specifically intended to support our West Coast clients and employees during Pacific Time business hours. Candidates must be located in, or able to consistently work according to, the Pacific Time Zone.

What You’ll Do

  • Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to employees regarding their benefit questions
  • Provide Benefit Service Center coverage during designated Pacific Time business hours
  • Investigate and respond to employee inquiries about coverage, claims, and plan options
  • Create, manage, and track service tickets in our internal systems
  • Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve employee concerns
  • Provide professional, courteous service to clients, employees, brokers, carriers, and internal team members
  • Maintain employee confidentiality and adhere to data privacy and security standards
  • Support additional administrative or service-related duties as needed

  • Located in the Pacific Time Zone or able to consistently work Pacific Time business hours
  • Previous customer service or call center experience preferred
  • Experience in insurance, employee benefits, or worksite benefits is strongly preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple inquiries and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a genuine desire to help others

Requirements

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Located in the Pacific Time Zone, including California or another West Coast location, or able to consistently work Pacific Time business hours
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Health and Life Insurance License is required
  • Experience in a call center and/or worksite benefits is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including active listening
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), web browsers, databases, and phone systems
  • Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment while maintaining consistent availability during Pacific Time business hours
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
