 As a Regional Recruitment Manager this is what you’ll be doing:



Position Summary


As the Regional Recruitment Manager - Nigeria, you will be assigned to representing Sunway University, work closely with University’s International Recruitment Office supporting recruitment and conversion activities. You will help the University’s International Recruitment Office at all stages of their student recruitment process, including maintaining of best practices and confidentiality of university data. You will be engaged in delegated marketing and outreach activities, database maintenance, and other initiatives undertaken by the client to enhance their footprint in Nigeria.

Main Responsibilities


  • Participating in recruitment and outreach events (both online and in person) for prospective students, their parents and counsellors.
  • Work closely with the University’s International Recruitment Office in identifying and implement the University’s plan for enhancement and growth of international institutional engagements in the designated regions within Nigeria.
  • Provide prompt, comprehensive, accurate information and advice to students who apply to study in international universities and education agents.
  • Provide student counselling support, and follow up on matters like offer acceptance, additional document requirements and other admission-related matters via various communication channels.
  • Maintain excellent ‘customer service’ by answering all enquiries from prospective students and parents met during recruitment fairs. Post this, initiate follow up contact with them to build the application database and nurture students through the applicant journey
  • Utilize the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to proactively target and nurture assigned leads and applicants.
  • Building an effective working relationship with a range of stakeholders in the country’s education sector
  • Attend education events, tradeshows, conferences, webinars, virtual events and represent the university as and when required.
  • Engage in social media activities and online training as per the university’s requirement.
  • Assist in hosting online and offline events and information sessions. Assist with localized content and promotions, including maintaining databases for post event follow-up.
  • Carry out post activity follow up, including compiling data of interested students. Preparing and submitting reports on activity outcomes to the University.
  • Liaise and coordinate with appropriate internal teams for administrative issues.
  • Support towards online research, gathering market intelligence, information management, updating databases, presentations, events and conferences.
  • Conduct activities within the given budget and costs and keep track of project expenses.
  • Maintain communication with other stakeholders and keep updated with the latest on ground relevant market information.
  • Information and Reporting
  • Develop and maintain a key contacts list and share a report with the university according to the agreed frequency or as and when necessary.
  • Recording information from recruitment events and campaigns.
  • Maintain and record project progress and submit relevant reports as specified.
  • Collecting prospective leads from events, and record interactions with students and applicants in the CRM system.

 

Qualifications & experience required


Essential Requirements


  • Educated to first degree level.
  • Experience of working in student recruitment or in a similar environment.
  • Prior experience working in the education sector (preferably in administrative, managerial, or marketing role).
  • Ability to work under pressure; to build relationships and influence across all levels of organizations (internally and externally).
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • High English proficiency with excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills with high attention to detail.
  • IT literacy and adequately conversant with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of the Nigeria Higher Education system.
  • Collaborative working style to motivate teams to strive towards their goals.
  • Ability to manage high workloads, meet deadlines, the capacity to resolve work issues and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility in working outside of normal working office hours and or weekends, and expected high travelling frequency, due to events participation.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work on self-initiative and as part of a team.
  • Committed and driven.
  • Legal right to work in Nigeria on full-time basis.

 

Desirable Requirements


  • Relevant postgraduate or professional qualification in business or marketing.
  • Overseas study or living experience.
  • Knowledge of the Malaysia Higher Education system and Malaysia as a study destination is highly desirable.
  • Experience of developing marketing campaigns and using social media as a communication tool.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the higher education system and understanding of the range of issues relevant to students contemplating studying overseas.
  • Strong planning ability around developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans.
  • Good interpersonal skills including networking and relationship management.
