JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Agilist Scrum Master is responsible for the agile implementation and adoption throughout the software development lifecycle for the team(s) that they are assigned to work with, with the key outputs being increasing team efficiency, motivating the team, and implementing changes that will ensure quality and timeliness
The above mentioned outputs should all be framed with the ultimate goal of achieved increased customer-satisfaction for the Hotelbeds group; both internally with Hotelbeds users and externally with our clients and suppliers

  • The Agilist Scrum Master will be actively engaged with the Agile Transformation Programme to be developed across the whole of the Hotelbeds organisation including planning of the transformation phasing, selection of frameworks to be utilised to facilitate the transformation, and leadership of the active rollout and implementation of the new working model

  • Take decisions on the cadence and style of those Agile ceremonies that match the needs of the team and ensure alignment with the wider Delivery organization

  • Encouraging collaboration and self-organisation between the teams across the company and value stream to ensure efficiency of Delivery

  • Assisting with internal and external communications, improving transparency, and removing impediments that block the delivery team from work

  • Facilitate the creation of useful, reliable and practical sprint plans for software development and monitoring burn down velocity

  • Guiding the team and the wider organisation on how to use and implement Agile/Scrum practices

  • Work closely with the Product Management group to make sure the product backlog is in good shape and continuously ready for planning and value delivery

  • You will be part of a Community of Practice for the driving and implementation of best practices within our development teams to an ethos of Reliability, Observability, Quality, Performance & Security in everything we do within our estate

  • You will work closely with our IT Performance function to ensure we have clear OKRs/KPIs set, and progress reported on to continuously measure our success and highlight areas for greater focus
