Job Description:
Structural and Seismic Project Engineers at Nova Group, GBC., are responsible for onsite inspections of existing buildings to gather data for the evaluation and compilation of Seismic Risk Assessments (SRAs). In addition to these responsibilities, this role will include the completion and management of other engineering scopes of work including Balcony Inspections (CA SB-721), Limited Structural Evaluations or other engineering assessments. Project Engineers complete all aspects of assessments including field work, data compilation and report preparation in accordance with the scope of work and our client needs.
Deliverables for this role will include Seismic Field Checklists, Balcony Assessment Reports, Limited Structural Assessment Reports and other engineering reports. Our Project Engineers are core members of our project delivery team working with our Senior Engineers, Senior Project Managers and Account Managers to ensure the quality of our deliverables to our clients and exceeding their expectations along the way.
Candidates will work outdoors on building sites performing observation visits, existing condition surveys and destructive and non-destructive tests in accordance with industry standards. Field work will require travel up to 50% throughout the Western US and specific other regions to support project needs; employees may work from home when not traveling.
Requirements:
Nova Group’s good-faith estimate of the salary for this position at the time of posting is 110,000 – 135,000+ USD. Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s experience, skills, education, location, production and other job-related variables.
