We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting & Finance Manager to lead our accounting and finance function for a US-based technology consulting company with global operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for financial reporting, accounting operations, payroll, treasury, compliance, and internal controls. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will partner with leadership to support strategic decision-making while ensuring the company's financial operations remain accurate, efficient, and compliant.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the accounting and finance function for a US-based technology consulting firm with international operations.
  • Own the monthly and annual financial close process.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including Banking, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, invoicing, treasury, and cash management.
  • Manage multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and statutory reporting requirements while working with the company’s CPA.
  • Lead external audits and coordinate with auditors and external advisors.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen internal controls, and financial processes.
  • Lead accounting system implementations, automation initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Partner directly with the CEO and leadership team to provide financial analysis, identify risks, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and other financial planning initiatives.
  • This role will eventually lead to becoming the CFO role based on performance.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience as a Senior Accounting Manager, Controller, Assistant Controller, or similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience working with US-based companies in technology, IT consulting, professional services, or SaaS industries.
  • Proven ownership of month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.
  • Experience managing external audits and working with auditors.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance.
  • Experience managing multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions.
  • Experience with cloud-based ERP systems (QuickBooks Online needed; Xero is good to have in addition) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to take ownership, work independently, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fully remote, international environment that offers a great work culture.
