Job Requirements:

  • Paralegal Experience: Proven experience as a paralegal, preferably within a law firm handling immigration, family law, personal injury, or real estate cases.
  • Legal Document Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in drafting, reviewing, and managing a wide range of legal documents across multiple practice areas, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Client Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with clients, legal professionals, and other stakeholders in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Research Skills: Proficiency in legal research using online databases and other resources, with the ability to synthesize findings into concise reports for attorneys.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational abilities to manage complex case files, schedules, and deadlines efficiently, with attention to detail and precision in document management. 
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with legal case management software, electronic filing systems, and standard office applications, enabling effective remote work and collaboration with the legal team.

Core responsibilities:

  • Legal Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and case summaries, to support attorneys in complex immigration, family law, personal injury, and real estate cases.
  • Case Management: Oversee the lifecycle of case files from intake to resolution, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to deadlines across multiple legal areas, including international law and personal injury.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate directly with clients, gathering necessary information for case development, conducting preliminary consultations, and providing updates on case status while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. 
  • Legal Research: Conduct detailed legal research on case law, statutes, and legal precedents relevant to immigration, family law, and personal injury matters, providing summaries and insights to assist attorneys in case strategy.
  • Calendar Management: Maintain and organize the legal teams schedules, including court dates, client meetings, and filing deadlines, to ensure all tasks are completed on time and legal processes are adhered to.
  • Filing and Compliance: Manage electronic filing of legal documents with various courts, ensuring compliance with state and US federal requirements, and assist in maintaining organized case files within the firms systems.
