This is a role within the Castrol organization, and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence. If you are part of the ring-fence, it is expected that your employment will move with Castrol to new ownership.

The Business Performance Advisor is responsible for providing performance insights, supporting decision-making, and coordinating financial reporting activities across the business.

In this role You will:

  • Performance Management: Prepare timely, accurate, and reliable financial and management information, redefining data into significant insights that support informed decision-making and drive business performance

  • Business Partnering & Performance Insights: Build and maintain strong, proactive relationships with Business and Functional Leadership teams, acting as a trusted advisor by providing financial expertise, performance analysis, and actionable recommendations

  • Strategy & Planning: Support the annual planning and forecasting process, ensuring plans are robust, appropriately challenged, and aligned with business objectives while providing valuable financial input to support strategic decision-making

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and deliver opportunities to enhance processes, reporting, and tools, driving greater efficiency, improved insights, and best-in-class ways of working

What You will need to be successful:

  • Degree or professional finance qualification such as MBA (Master of Business Administration), CA (Chartered/Certified Accountant), or equivalent is highly valued

  • Financial Planning & Analysis Expertise: Bring solid post-degree experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management, with a proven track record to provide high-quality financial insights that support business decision-making

  • Fluency in English is critical, enabling effective collaboration across complementary teams and participants

  • Plan to Perform Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding and application of Plan to Perform processes, combined with strong digital literacy and analytical capabilities to support performance monitoring and business outcomes

  • Analytical & Continuous Improvement Attitude: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and insight-generation skills, with a passion for driving continuous improvement and enhancing performance management processes, tools, and reporting

  • Collaborative Leadership: An excellent teammate with outstanding communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills, capable of building trusted partnerships across all levels of the organization

  • Systems & Data Visualization Expertise: Hands-on experience with financial and business systems such as SAP, advanced Microsoft Office applications, and data visualization tools including Power BI and Tableau, enabling the delivery of impactful and actionable business insights

Desirable criteria

  • Experience within global, complex and matrix organizations, preferably within an Oil & Gas business or experience in industries such as Retail, Asset-based business, Manufacturing, or Logistics
