Job description

For our Headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany, we are seeking to recruit a Management Assistant (f/m/d). You will report to the Member of the Managing Board responsible for the Area Africa & Mediterranean-Western Asia (AMWA).

The position as Management Assistant is an excellent opportunity to work closely with a Managing Board member, and therefore to understand how the business works from the perspective of the Managing Board. In this role you can build a strong foundation to take over a first supervisory role in our operations outside of Germany.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE 

  • Fast and straightforward resolution of all operative tasks in the day-to-day business

  • Support of the Board member in conceptual and strategic topics

  • Preparation of solid, meaningful decision papers for the Managing Board

  • Quick preparation and presentation of ad-hoc topics

  • Excellent market research, analysis and preparation of data and information

  • Preparation and coordination of management meetings

  • Support of M&A and divestment projects

  • Coordination of cooperation between local management and functions

  • Communication interface between the Area Managing Board and other Managing Board offices, Group Directors and the Management offices of our international subsidiaries

  • Close cooperation with departments and directors reporting to the Managing Board Member

  • Involvement in international projects

  • Independent and autonomous realization of special projects


YOUR PROFILE

  • Excellent university degree (Master/PhD) within regular study period

  • Focus of studies: business administration, (industrial) engineering, finance, or natural sciences

  • 1 – 2 years professional experience, in operations or service functions

  • Experience abroad would be an advantage

  • Dynamic, solution-oriented, and results-driven working style

  • Fast learner and good understanding of financial and technical issues

  • Ability to devise and support the implementation of strategic deals

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with various levels of seniority and employees from different cultures

  • Very good English, ideally (but not absolutely necessary) with second language skills in German, in addition French language skills would be an advantage

  • Eager to gain a deep understanding of our business and willing to take on an operational role in one of our international locations outside Germany afterwards
