Job description

A founder of a successful financial media business is seeking a highly resourceful Chief of Staff to serve as his trusted operational partner across both business and personal matters. This individual will take ownership of a wide range of projects, translating high-level direction into clear plans and completed outcomes. The ideal candidate is proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable independently managing projects from concept through completion.

Responsibilities

  • Own business and personal projects from initial direction through successful completion
  • Translate high-level goals into clear scopes, timelines, budgets, and action plans
  • Oversee buildouts and property-related projects
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the principal’s CPA, advisors, and other professional service providers
  • Identify, evaluate, engage, and manage contractors, vendors, consultants, and other specialists
  • Negotiate terms, coordinate deliverables, monitor progress, and ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
  • Coordinate content-production resources, medical and travel logistics, and other business or personal initiatives as needed
  • Maintain visibility across ongoing projects and provide concise, organized updates
  • Anticipate potential obstacles and resolve issues independently whenever possible
  • Establish systems and processes that improve organization, communication, and efficiency
  • Manage confidential business, financial, medical, and personal information with exceptional discretion

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience supporting a founder, executive, entrepreneur, or private principal
  • Strong project management, research, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to independently manage projects from concept through completion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Technologically fluent and able to learn new systems quickly
  • Comfortable managing a fluctuating workload and periods of limited communication
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check and provide verifiable professional references

Compensation

  • $100K–$150K annually, depending on experience
  • Benefits stipend

Location: Fully remote within the U.S. (principal is based in Boise, Idaho; Mountain-time overlap preferred). Physical projects are executed through local contractors coordinated by the Chief of Staff.
