Job Summary

We’re searching for a deeply experienced QA Engineer to support our growing portfolio of development projects.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day-to-day, is excited to collaborate with stakeholders and developers across the company, and is comfortable working in a range of team environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and document QA best practices, testing standards, and automation guidelines across active client engagements

  • Develop reusable testing frameworks, tooling templates, and documentation that project teams can adopt independently

  • Define and track cross-client, cross-project, cross-region QA metrics (coverage, defect rates, flakiness) and report on quality trends

  • Establish test coverage requirements and quality gates for CI/CD pipelines

  • Build and maintain automated test suites (e.g. unit, integration, end-to-end, etc.) across multiple concurrent projects

  • Configure and maintain test infrastructure

  • Evaluate and recommend tools appropriate to each project's stack

  • Serve as a shared expert for QA questions across project teams

  • Review test code and provide actionable feedback as needed

  • Participate in project planning to flag testability risks early

  • Document testing patterns, runbooks, and how-to guides for common scenarios

  • Actively reduce dependency on dedicated QA engineers over time by upskilling project engineers

Must Have Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer

  • Proficiency in at least two major test automation frameworks (e.g. Pytest, RSpec, JUnit, XUnit, Cucumber, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, etc.)

  • Experience writing tests in at least two programming languages

  • Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)

  • Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, or similar)

  • Experience with test reporting and observability tooling (Allure, ReportPortal, or similar)

  • Experience working across multiple projects or teams simultaneously

  • Strong communication skills β€” able to translate QA concepts for engineers who aren't testing specialists

  • Comfortable operating with autonomy in loosely structured environments

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with performance or load testing tools (e.g. k6, Locust, JMeter)

  • Familiarity with contract testing (e.g. Pact or similar)

  • Experience with mobile test automation (e.g. Appium, Detox, or XCUITest)

  • Knowledge of static analysis and code quality tools (e.g. SonarQube, ESLint, or similar)

  • Familiarity with BDD frameworks (e.g. Cucumber, SpecFlow)

  • Experience in a consulting or agency environment

  • Has built or documented a testing standard from scratch, not just inherited one

  • Comfortable giving feedback to senior engineers on test quality
