  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards using Power BI, Excel, or similar tools.
  • Support facilities and operations teams by providing actionable insights from operational data.

Job Description

The Junior Data Analyst supports business decision-making by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting operational, maintenance, and facilities data. This role works closely with facilities management, HVAC technicians, maintenance teams, and business stakeholders to identify trends, improve operational performance, and support data-driven decision-making. 

 

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical abilities with an understanding of building systems, facilities operations, HVAC equipment, maintenance processes, or related technical environments. This role is well-suited for individuals transitioning from facilities, maintenance, HVAC, or technical services roles into data analytics. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, validate, and organize data from CMMS, work order systems, BAS/BMS platforms, HVAC monitoring systems, and other operational databases.
  • Analyze maintenance, asset, energy, and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards using Power BI, Excel, or similar tools.
  • Support facilities and operations teams by providing actionable insights from operational data.
  • Monitor data quality and investigate reporting discrepancies.
  • Assist with forecasting maintenance workloads, equipment replacement planning, and resource utilization.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for management and operational stakeholders.
  • Document reporting processes, data sources, and analytical methodologies.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to improve data collection and reporting accuracy.
 
 
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education plus relevant facilities, maintenance, HVAC, building operations, technical services, or related experience.
  • 0-3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, operations support, facilities management, HVAC, maintenance, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, formulas, and data analysis functions.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or willingness to learn database querying.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
