About the Medical Assistant Role
The Medical Assistant plays a vital part on the clinical team in delivering high-quality, virtual-first primary care to patients across the country. This role is responsible for supporting clinicians by managing follow-ups, coordinating care, and helping patients navigate their healthcare experience through a chat-based platform. This is a full-time, remote position which requires high-speed reliable internet access. The schedule is dependent on business needs and may include any combination of days or hours to service a 24/7/365 clinic.

What You'll Do
  • Support clinicians with patient coordination tasks including but not limited to:
  • Pharmacy communication and prescription support
  • Referrals and prior authorizations
  • Scheduling and follow-up outreach
  • Provide empathetic, patient-centered communication internally and
  • externally.
  • Accurately and thoroughly document tasks and communications in the
  • electronic health record (EHR)
  • Identify workflow issues and escalate when needed
  • Participate in team huddles and quality initiatives
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards
  • Other duties as assigned

  • What You'll Bring
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years of medical assistant experience required
  • At least 1 year of prior telemedicine experience required
  • Comfortable working independently and handling high-volume patient interactions
  • Proficient in navigating various telehealth platforms and EHR systems and adaptable to evolving technology, including AI-driven tools and digital platforms
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage time effectively in a remote work environment, with reliable high-speed internet access
  • Able to work weekends and assigned holidays as part of your regular schedule
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

  • What We Offer
    Pay Range: $18 - $21/hr (and eligible for 15% differential on weekends)
    Compensation: The pay range listed for this position reflects what Curai Health reasonably and in good faith expects to pay at the time of posting. Actual base salary will depend on a variety of factors, including your qualifications and years of relevant experience.
