Job Description

The Closing Coordinator - Platinum performs detailed reviews of platinum files for accurate rates, research complex scenarios, validate approvals, exceptions and assists with lock desk functions. The Closing Coordinator - Platinum will ensure all product-specific requirements, disclosures, approvals, and exceptions are resolved prior to closing. This role serves as a key liaison between Capital Markets, Sales, Credit Risk, Operations, and external partners to identify and resolve issues that could impact scheduling, rate locks, funding, or regulatory compliance.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Review Platinum files to identify and resolve product-specific requirements prior to scheduling.
  • Analyze and address TISA-related issues, redisclosure requirements, rate and margin changes, and other platinum-driven events.
  • Review Capital Markets and Credit Risk exceptions and coordinate approvals or corrective actions as necessary.
  • Validate loan terms, conditions, underwriting requirements, and approval stipulations that may impact closing eligibility.
  • Research complex loan scenarios and determine the appropriate resolution path in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination between Sales, Processing, Credit Risk, Capital Markets, Closing, and external partners regarding Platinum loan issues.
  • Collaborate with departments to resolve disclosure concerns, pricing updates, lock expirations, and operational exceptions.
  • Review loan readiness and identify potential obstacles that could delay closing.
  • Review redisclosures and other required loan disclosures for accuracy and completeness.
  • Validate that required waiting periods, approvals, and compliance requirements have been satisfied before scheduling.
  • Ensure documentation and loan terms align with approved exceptions and product guidelines.
  • Respond to partner, broker, and internal escalations regarding Platinum loans.
  • Assist with lock desk functions including lock requests, lock extensions, lock modifications, and related research.
  • Coordinate with Capital Markets regarding lock exceptions and pricing matters.
  • Ensure lock information is accurately reflected within loan systems and communicated appropriately.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 2 years of mortgage operations experience preferred
  • Knowledge of rate locks, redisclosures, TISA requirements, pricing exceptions, and scheduling workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail, accuracy and deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage disclosures, regulatory requirements, and closing processes.
  • Ability to analyze complex loan scenarios and determine appropriate resolutions.
  • Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications, specifically Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word
  • Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
  • Must always demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
  • Team player who shows a positive attitude and collaborative skills
  • Demonstrates reliability and punctuality.

  • Target base salary range is 55-60K.
