Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a highly collaborative professional, responsible for day-to-day contact in all procurement matters for assigned centers and utilizing their skills and experience to identify savings opportunities with best value and minimal risk. The National Procurement Specialist will ensure compliance with national internal controls and procurement policies, strategies and supplier contracts and follow all ethical standards, contributing to the improvement of Devereux procurement best practices.

 

You will:

    

  • Develop and maintain business relationships with key vendors and coordinate purchasing details with vendors including price revisions, order cancellation and invoice discrepancies.
  • Conduct vendor reviews to determine vendor capability and financial fitness to provide contract deliverables.
  • Provide technical and professional guidance to stakeholders and centers regarding issues related to national, regional or local contracts.
  • Remain current with ongoing developments in the field of procurement to ensure that Devereux is poised to take advantage of emerging trends and developments.
  • Conduct onsite visits if necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other related field; MBA degree preferred.
  • Minimum of Two (2) years’ experience providing administrative, purchasing, finance, and/or project management support in a complex organization. Three (3) years’ experience preferred. Demonstrated procurement or purchasing support preferred.
  • Ability to be adaptable, flexible and change activities quickly.
  • Must possess professional demeanor and judgement and be able to make quick and accurate decisions independently.
  • Requires demonstrated proficiency in word processing, database management and presentation software (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, and Word). Moderate to advanced experience in Excel and PowerBi preferred.
  • Must have superior oral communication expertise, customer service skills, and an ability to independently follow up as required.
  • Valid driver’s license must be maintained.
  • Salary Range: Up to $60k depending on experience.
