Job description

Video Editor & Content Creator
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Video Editor & Content Creator to produce engaging social media content for an established educational consultancy. The client supports international students with placements into schools, universities, and language programs across the UK, US, and global markets.

This is an executional, remote role focused on high-quality delivery. The ideal candidate will step away from generic, "agency-style" content to bring creativity, energy, crisp pacing, and visual polish to the raw footage. You will work directly with the client's internal team to execute a highly specific video brief.

Part-time: 10 hours per week
Remote: Fully remote (UK working hours)
Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (client based in the UK)
Monthly Rate: $280-340 (based on a 10-hour workweek; flexible depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Edit raw footage into polished, engaging short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.
  • Add clean captions, music, smooth transitions, graphics, and visual effects to maximize engagement, storytelling, and pacing.
  • Efficiently slice and repurpose existing footage libraries into multiple content formats.
  • Support the team with basic graphic design tasks, including YouTube thumbnails, social media post covers, and simple branded assets.
  • Strictly follow provided briefs, implement feedback revisions smoothly, and deliver assets on time in line with brand expectations.

Role Requirements (Must-Haves):
  • 3+ years of experience as a traditional video editor with a portfolio showcasing polished short-form social content. (Advanced AI video generation or AI editing experience is not required).
  • Proficiency in standard editing suites such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. You are expected to utilize your own standard editing software setup.
  • Solid basic graphic design skills using tools like Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or similar suites.
  • Strong organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good written and spoken English skills.
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience editing content within the education, student recruitment, travel, lifestyle, or consultancy sectors.
  • Basic motion graphics or animation skills.
  • Additional language skills such as Turkish, Arabic, or Russian.

Recruitment Process:
