Min 3.5 years proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of Australian construction standards, materials, and regulations. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Buildsoft, CostX, or similar). Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a high level of attention to detail. Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Core responsibilities:

Analyze project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine project scope and requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services. Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to refine project details and budgets. Maintain an updated database of costs, materials, and subcontractors. Monitor market trends and industry standards to provide accurate and competitive estimates. Identify potential project risks and provide cost-related insights for mitigation strategies. Assist in preparing tender submissions, including pricing schedules and supporting documentation. Support contract negotiations by providing detailed cost breakdowns.
