Job description

Overview:

Do you enjoy combining financial analysis, audit work, data review and international projects in one role?

Want to help organisations create transparency and accountability in donor-funded programmes while developing your expertise alongside experienced specialists?

Join BDO as a Junior Consultant – Grant Assurance Services and start your career in a warm, hands-on and professional environment where you can make an impact from day one.

What will you be doing?:

As a Junior Consultant in our Grant Assurance Services team, you'll work with NGOs, universities, research institutions, public sector organisations and international clients. Together with experienced colleagues, you'll contribute to audits and assurance engagements for grant-funded programmes while continuously building your technical expertise.

Grant Assurance Services is all about bringing transparency and trust to grant-funded projects. As a consultant you will verify that funding is used in line with donor requirements and project objectives.

A typical week could look like this:

  • Performing audit procedures and documenting your findings in clear working papers.
  • Analysing cost claims and verifying compliance with donor regulations and funding requirements.
  • Supporting project budgeting and carrying out financial analyses.
  • Participating in client meetings and collaborating with project teams.
  • Contributing to knowledge-sharing initiatives, methodologies and internal training programmes.

From your first projects onwards, you'll gain exposure to a wide variety of organisations, funding programmes and international environments. Every engagement brings new challenges, learning opportunities and perspectives.

What do you bring to the table?:

We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys analysing information and wants to develop expertise in a specialised field.

  • You have a strong analytical mindset and enjoy working with figures and data.
  • You work accurately and pay attention to details.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally in English and either Dutch or French.
  • You are motivated to build expertise in grant assurance and donor-funded programmes.
What do we bring to the table? :

According to our colleagues, it has a lot to do with the supportive atmosphere, opportunities for growth and the trust they receive from day one. Here's what you can expect:

  • Culture: join a team of experts who value respect, collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
  • Mentoring: receive guidance from experienced professionals and benefit from a strong support network.
