Job description

SME - Scale Campaign Performance with Meta Advantage+
Location: United States

SweetRush has an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join our Talent Solutions / Learning Design team!

Who We Are

At SweetRush, we believe that when you put people at the center of business, magic happens. As a global leader in learning and development, we blend high-end storytelling, emerging tech like AI and VR, and deep psychological insights to help organizations—from iconic global brands to essential nonprofits—flourish. We are a remote-first, tight-knit community built on a foundation of radical empathy and creative excellence. Our work isn't just about the awards we win with incredible partners such as Hilton, Google, Bridgestone, Adidas, SHRM, and numerous others; it's about balancing profit with a genuine desire to spread good in the world. If you are a caring innovator who believes work should be life-centered and impactful, then this is where you come in…

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a mid-to-senior-level Paid Social / Performance Marketing Practitioner to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for an upcoming curriculum development project. In this freelance role, you will lead the rigorous review of quality, accuracy, and fidelity for a three-course Coursera specialization titled Scale Campaign Performance with Meta Advantage+.

The course content is adapted from existing Meta webinars covering Advantage+ app campaigns, catalog ads, and shopping campaigns. This is an active editing and validation role where you will review, refine, correct, and augment AI-drafted course content generated by Coursera's tools to ensure absolute platform currency, technical accuracy, and learner engagement.

As our SME, you'll validate and help shape the job responsibilities, skills, and learning objectives that will guide this certificate program, ensuring learners graduate with the practical, in-demand capabilities employers are seeking in this role.

Location: United States, Remote
Contract Type: Freelance
Project Duration: Estimated execution across the development cycle
Project Capacity: Not to exceed 60-80 hours
Start Date: July 28, 2026
Hourly: Hourly Rate is Negotiable
Important note: Technical attention to detail is paramount! To be considered for this role, you need to have recent experience building and launching ads in 2026, and you must share a portfolio or samples of your ad work.

SweetRush is a remote organization, and as such, all resources must be technically savvy, have access to a strong internet signal, be comfortable with virtual/instant messaging and conferencing tools, and generally be available during established working hours.

Your Impact and Responsibilities
As the primary technical authority for this specialization, you will actively ensure the curriculum reflects current, real-world Meta Ads capabilities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be structured around three continuous review checkpoints per course:

  • Checkpoint 1: Program Outline Review
    • Review source webinars and supporting documents to evaluate generated outlines for logical flow, structural completeness, and sequencing.
    • Attend live alignment calls with the Coursera and Learning Design teams to validate content at the structural level.
  • Checkpoint 2: Full Course Atlas (Script) Review
    • Conduct a deep-dive review of a Proof-of-Concept (POC) course to establish the standard for tone, depth, and accuracy.
    • Review remaining course atlases (.doc format via Google Drive) to ensure they mirror the POC standards and flag course-specific errors.
  • Checkpoint 3: On-Platform Final Review
    • Access the live Coursera staging environment to end-to-end test all interactive components, dialogues, and logic triggers.
    • Validate final uploads against source webinars for absolute factual accuracy, brand alignment, and completeness.
  • Continuous Quality Assurance & Content Creation
    • Source-Fidelity Checking: Scrutinize all elements to ensure absolutely zero hallucinated or drifted Meta product claims.
    • UI Validation: Verify all step-by-step Ads Manager workflows (e.g., learning-phase behaviors, automation controls) match the live environment.
    • Copywriting: Draft and refine XDP copy for product accuracy; review Donobu QA reports as required.
    • Screencasting: Record high-quality technical screencasts following provided audio/room setup guidelines if needed to complement written text.

What You Bring - Required Skills

Experience & Background

  • Paid Social Specialist: Current, hands-on platform or agency-side experience managing large-scale Meta Ads campaigns.
  • Seniority: Mid-to-senior level practitioner (5+ years of dedicated experience in paid media/performance marketing).
  • Industry Context: Proven background executing campaigns within Ecommerce, mobile app growth, or performance marketing agency ecosystems.
  • Meta Platform Mastery: Deep familiarity with Meta Ads Manager and the Advantage+ product suite (App Campaigns, Catalog Ads, Shopping Campaigns). Must have experience launching paid ads with the Andromeda algorithm (post-December 2024).

Required Tool & Account Access

  • Live Active Access to: Meta Ads Manager, Advantage+ setup flows, Ads Manager Reporting Dashboards, Campaign Budget Optimization (CBO) settings, and learning phase indicators.
  • Instructional Awareness: Ability to evaluate if content is properly scoped for an entry-to-mid career marketing analyst audience (flagging over-complex or over-simplified terminology).

Core Capabilities to Validate

  • A/B testing methodology and experiments within Meta Ads Manager.
  • Mobile app marketing lifecycles (acquisition, engagement, re-engagement).
  • Dynamic creative formats, catalog-based personalizations, and audience expansion logic.

Bonus Skills

  • Holding an active Meta Certified Media Buying Professional or Meta Certified Digital Marketing Associate credential.
  • Direct experience with Mobile Measurement Partner (MMP) integrations (e.g., AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch).
  • Prior experience working within the Meta Blueprint or Meta partner ecosystem.
  • Familiarity working with Google Drive (.doc) editing workflows and Airtable/Donobu QA feedback tracking.

Expected Depth of Expertise Guide

  • What you MUST do: Verify that technical workflows match current live UI; catch and fix AI hallucinations or deprecated platform features; add real-world tactical examples.
  • What you are NOT required to do: You will not write course scripts from scratch, manage organic social strategy, handle legal/policy compliance, or perform visual/video production edits.
