About the Role

We are looking for a talented and creative Video Producer to join The Royal Observer and produce engaging, high-quality video content covering the British royal family, celebrity news, entertainment, and lifestyle stories.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for visual storytelling, understands audience engagement across digital platforms, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced newsroom environment. You should be able to review raw footage, identify the strongest moments, craft compelling narratives, and deliver polished videos that align with our editorial standards and brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Produce engaging short-form and long-form videos for The Royal Observer across digital and social media platforms.
  2. Collaborate with writers, editors, and social media managers to transform stories into compelling visual content.
  3. Review raw footage, select the best takes, and create strong story structures with effective pacing.
  4. Enhance videos using motion graphics, subtitles, B-roll, music, and visual effects to maximize audience engagement.
  5. Maintain visual consistency and uphold The Royal Observer's editorial and brand standards across all video formats.
  6. Organize and manage raw footage, project files, and creative assets for efficient production workflows.
  7. Deliver high-quality video content within tight deadlines, particularly during breaking news and major royal events.
  8. Stay up to date with social media trends, platform best practices, and emerging video formats to continually improve content performance.


Requirements

  1. Minimum 4 years of professional experience in video production, preferably within digital media, news, or entertainment publishing.
  2. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro with working knowledge of After Effects, CapCut, or similar editing software.
  3. Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, visual composition, and audience retention techniques.
  4. Experience creating content optimized for YouTube, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and other digital platforms.
  5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven newsroom.
  6. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  7. High attention to detail with a passion for producing polished, engaging video content.
