Job Summary
Join our Food & Nutrition Services team and help create a positive dining experience for patients, visitors, and staff. The Food Service Associate performs a variety of food preparation, service, sanitation, and customer service duties in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and cleanliness.

Essential Responsibilities
Prepare food service stations, kitchen work areas, and equipment for daily operations by organizing supplies, setting up utensils, and verifying proper food holding temperatures.
Transport food, beverages, supplies, and equipment safely between preparation and service areas using carts or other approved equipment.
Set up and maintain hot and cold serving lines, ensuring food is presented attractively and maintained at proper temperatures in accordance with food safety guidelines.
Prepare or assist in the preparation of a variety of menu items, including hot entrées, vegetables, salads, sandwiches, beverages, desserts, baked goods, and other food items.
Serve meals to patients, visitors, and staff while following portion control standards and providing courteous, efficient customer service.
Restock food, beverages, dishes, utensils, trays, condiments, and other supplies to ensure service areas remain fully stocked throughout each shift.
Monitor food quality and report or remove spoiled food, damaged equipment, or other safety or quality concerns promptly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment by washing dishes, cookware, utensils, equipment, and work surfaces, as well as cleaning floors and disposing of waste according to department standards.
Follow all health, safety, sanitation, infection prevention, and departmental policies to support a safe and efficient food service operation.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and provide support wherever needed to meet departmental and customer needs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
