Our assignments range from specialist scientific and technical positions to senior commercial, operational and executive leadership appointments.


The Opportunity


We are looking for a bright, organised and efficient Talent Resourcer to join the business remotely from South Africa. The role will focus on identifying, approaching and initially qualifying candidates for a varied portfolio of retained search assignments. Previous recruitment experience is useful but not essential; we can train someone who learns quickly, communicates well and applies sound judgement. This is not simply a CV-searching role. The successful candidate must understand each assignment, identify credible target candidates, engage them professionally and progress suitable people to an initial interview with a consultant of ours.


Key Responsibilities


 Understand the client, role, essential requirements and likely candidate market for each assignment.

 Build structured searches using job titles, skills, qualifications, sectors, locations and target employers.

 Identify candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Loxo and relevant online sources, including passive candidates who are not actively applying for roles.

 Review profiles and CVs critically, distinguishing genuine fit from superficial keyword matches.

 Approach candidates through LinkedIn, email and telephone using clear, tailored and professional communication.

 Qualify initial interest, motivation, location, availability, salary expectations and broad suitability.

 Engage suitable candidates to the point of arranging an initial interview with the relevant consultant.

 Maintain accurate candidate records, search notes, activity and pipeline stages within Loxo.

 Provide concise progress updates, including market feedback, search challenges and recommended changes to the search strategy.

 Manage several assignments at different levels of seniority without losing quality, pace or attention to detail.



Assignments May Include


Scientific and laboratory roles; biotechnology and life sciences positions; software, data, AI, engineering and technical appointments; sales and business development roles; quality, regulatory, finance and operations positions; and senior management, director and executive searches.


The Person We Are Looking For


We do not expect the successful candidate to understand every discipline immediately. We do expect them to be curious, commercially aware and comfortable researching unfamiliar subjects, learning technical terminology and asking sensible questions.


 Bright, analytical and quick to learn, with the judgement to recognise a credible candidate.

 Highly organised, reliable and able to manage priorities independently in a remote environment.

 Efficient and persistent without sacrificing accuracy, professionalism or candidate experience.

 Excellent written and spoken English, with confidence engaging scientists, engineers, technology specialists and senior executives.

 Strong online research skills and confidence using LinkedIn and database or CRM systems.

 Careful with detail, confidential information and accurate record keeping.

 Receptive to feedback and motivated by clear objectives, measurable performance and continuous improvement.



How Performance Will Be Measured


Performance will be visible through Loxo, regular communication and a balanced scorecard. Targets will reflect the difficulty and seniority of each assignment; complex scientific and executive searches will not be judged solely on outreach volume.



Measure What good looks like


Search delivery Speed and quality of market mapping; number of genuinely relevant candidates identified; delivery against agreed search deadlines.

Candidate engagement Tailored approaches, response rates, meaningful conversations and suitable candidates progressed to consultant interview.

Candidate quality Relevance of candidates selected; accuracy of initial qualification; percentage progressing beyond the first consultant review.

Process discipline Complete and accurate Loxo records, prompt follow-up, reliable attendance, clear updates and effective management of multiple assignments.



Remote Working Expectations


 Be available on Microsoft Teams during agreed hours and attend scheduled search and progress meetings.

 Maintain accurate live activity and candidate records in Loxo so progress is clear without constant supervision.

 Communicate early when a search is not producing results or when market feedback suggests the brief should be reviewed.

 Protect confidential client and candidate information and represent us professionally at all times.



Training, Development and Package


Training will cover retained search, assignment briefing, LinkedIn and Loxo search techniques, Boolean searching, market mapping, candidate messaging and initial qualification. The successful candidate will initially work closely with an experienced consultant and can progress towards a Search Consultant role as their judgement and capability develop. A competitive South Africa-based salary and performance-related incentive package will be offered, depending on experience. Equipment, systems access and working arrangements will be agreed as part of the appointment process.

Essential Requirements


 Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, professional home-working environment suitable for video meetings and candidate calls.

 Availability to work agreed hours with meaningful overlap with the UK working day.

 Confidence using Microsoft Teams, email and online research tools.

 Ability to interpret job specifications and explain why a candidate is relevant.

 Previous recruitment, executive search, talent sourcing or research experience is desirable but not essential.
