Job description

This is a remote position.

Playing a central role within an international recruitment and market-intelligence organisation, this independent contract position supports operational excellence through the strategic deployment of workflow automations and intelligence tools. The position offers a fully remote working arrangement within South Africa for an initial term of 90 days, approximately 40 hours per month, with the potential for extension.

The primary focus of this role is to transform existing, manual recruitment and business-development processes into automated, scalable, and highly efficient systems. Working closely with leadership, the successful integration specialist will build AI-assisted workflows, automate customer relationship management (CRM) pipelines, and establish clear operational dashboards to enhance overall service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI and Automation Workflows: Build and deploy AI-assisted candidate and client outreach workflows, incorporating human-in-the-loop approval processes to ensure quality and brand alignment.

  • System Integration: Seamlessly connect operational platforms—including CRM, email systems, and forms—using n8n, Make, and Zapier to streamline business development and candidate delivery.

  • Recruitment Automation: Establish automated candidate-to-role matching, scoring protocols, and automated pipeline updates to reduce cycle times and improve reporting accuracy.

  • CRM & Operations Management: Configure, maintain, and structure Atlas CRM, defining clear pipeline stages, custom fields, and real-time operational dashboards for management visibility.

  • Process Documentation & Training: Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and build clear, digestible onboarding materials to train internal teams on newly implemented systems.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven track record of building automated business processes and workflow integrations.

  • Hands-on experience with workflow automation platforms, specifically n8n, Make, or Zapier.

  • Practical knowledge of integrating CRMs, email platforms, webhooks, APIs, and data structures.

  • Demonstrated experience incorporating artificial intelligence and large language models into daily business workflows.

  • Strong capacity for process mapping, system documentation, and technical training for non-technical team members.

  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently within a fully remote environment.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience operating within the recruitment, staffing, talent acquisition, or RPO sector.

  • Prior implementation of recruitment-specific CRMs or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

  • Familiarity with sales operations, RevOps, or automated outreach platforms.

  • Knowledge of international data compliance standards, such as GDPR.

  • Experience collaborating with UK or international business structures.
