POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Generalist (Manager) serves as a key member of the Human Resources team ensuring regulatory compliance, managing HRIS, and supporting various HR functions within the organization. This role is the subject matter expert for HR compliance activities, HRIS administration, and HR reporting. The HR Generalist also provides backup support for recruitment, benefits, and partners with HR Partners on employee relations matters

Essential Functions:

Compliance
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA).
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook in accordance with regulatory changes.
  • Coordinate, issue and track mandatory compliance training programs across the organization.
  • Prepare and submit required compliance reports, filings, and other regulatory submissions.
  • Conduct periodic internal HR audits to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders on employment-related compliance matters as needed.
 
HR Reporting & Analytics
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute recurring and ad hoc HR reports.
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership and business partners.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all HR data used for internal and external reporting.
  • Support annual cycles including compensation benchmarking, engagement, benefits marketing, and performance.
 
HRIS Administration
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the organization's HRIS, ensuring data accuracy, system configuration, and user access management.
  • Manage employee lifecycle transactions in the HRIS including new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  • Identify and implement system improvements; serve as a liaison with HRIS vendors and IT on system updates or issues.
  • Develop and deliver end-user training for HRIS processes.
  • Ensure HRIS data privacy and security controls are maintained in compliance with applicable regulations.
 
HR Operations
  • Serve as a backup recruiter during high-volume periods or when primary recruiter is unavailable.
  • Post open positions and manage candidate communications as needed.
  • Support onboarding activities new hire orientation.
  • Assist the Benefit in planning and executing annual open enrollment, including employee communications and enrollment tracking.
  • Ensure HRIS benefit elections are accurately updated and reconciled following open enrollment.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for employee inquiries.
  • Assist HR Partners in investigating employee complaints, documenting findings, and recommending resolutions
  • Support the employee experience by driving key initiatives such as engagement survey reporting and award programs.
  • Support the consistent application of HR policies and disciplinary procedures.
